President Trump’s tariffs have changed numerous times since they were announced in April, as foreign leaders negotiate and try to secure exemptions.

American businesses and consumers soon will have a better idea of how President Donald Trump's foreign trade agenda might affect them now that the United States has imposed higher tariffs on products from dozens of countries.

Most of the new duties kicked in Thursday, hitting countries with elevated rates that mark a departure from long-standing trade norms.
