Sheriff identifies North Dakota man who died in Cass Lake, Minnesota
WALKER, Minn. — The 41-year-old Grafton, North Dakota, man who died Sunday, Aug. 10, while boating on Cass Lake has been identified as Jon Patrick Koehmstedt.

Authorities in Cass County reported a drowning death on Cass Lake, on Saturday August 9. According to Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk, 911 callers reported a person in Cass Lake who did not resurface. Multiple agencies responded to the call.
Cass County investigates apparent drowning at Cass Lake
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent drowning after a 41-year-old man exited a pontoon to fix a boat motor and didn’t resurface at Cass Lake. At about 5:50 p.m. Saturday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received 911 reports of a person in the water.
