Hamas said on Sunday it was prepared to coordinate with the Red Cross to deliver aid to hostages it holds in Gaza, if Israel meets certain conditions, after a video it released showing an emaciated captive drew sharp criticism from Western powers.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that the army must "complete" the defeat of Hamas in Gaza to secure the release of hostages, ahead of an expected meeting with security chiefs on an updated war plan.

Hamas announced on Sunday that it would conditionally permit aid to be delivered to hostages in Gaza, so long as Israel would cease its airstrikes in the region. The Palestinian nationalist Islamic paramilitary organization said it would allow the Red Cross to deliver supplies and much-needed aid to the hostages Hamas has in Gaza,

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday (August 3) that he was "deeply shocked" as he watched the "horrifying" videos released by Hamas of Israeli hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski that showed both of them in deteriorating physical and mental conditions.

Hamas recently said it’s prepared to coordinate with the Red Cross to deliver aid to Israeli hostages it holds in Gaza. The announcement comes after Hamas released video of two hostages who are suffering from malnutrition.
