Much like their counterparts on the PGA Tour, LIV Golf has hit its equivalent of the playoffs with three straight weeks of play starting in Chicago before going to Indianapolis and then Michigan for the team championship.

In a thrilling finish at LIV Golf Chicago, Dean Burmester of Stinger GC secured his second career LIV Golf victory in a three-man playoff.

They needed a three-way playoff to settle things at LIV Golf Chicago on Sunday. In the end, it was Dean Burmester taking home the $4 million first-place prize. He only shot even par in the final round but finished 9 under overall and made a clutch par on his last hole in regulation to get into the playoff.

The LIV Golf season is winding down, and this week the league was outside Chicago at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Chicago is the only city to have hosted a LIV event in each of the first four seasons. The usual cast played for the customary $20 million and it was Dean Burmester defeating Jon Rahm and Josele Ballester on the first hole of a playoff to take home the $4 million winning check.

Burmester lost a two-shot lead at the start with three straight bogeys. He rallied late for an even-par 71 to finish on 9-under 204.
