MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas just debuted beautiful renovated rooms as part of the $300-million revamp of the hotel's main tower.

The Las Vegas Strip Resorts segment saw revenue fall 4% to $2.1 billion, due primarily to the impact from the room remodel and a decline in table games hold at MGM Grand Las Vegas. Casino revenue was down 6% during the quarter. Segment-adjusted EBITDAR fell 9% to $710 million.

MGM Resorts' Las Vegas Strip resorts saw a relative softness in the second quarter that suggested a softness in the city's visitor volumes.
