Spotify now accounts for 30% of recorded music revenue, paying over $11 billion to the industry in 2025, the largest single-year payout by any music retailer.

Spotify introduced new features earlier this month to let you share what you're listening to right now, and teased that it was working on group chats. Surprisingly, that feature is now ready to go. The messaging feature launched on Spotify in August as part of the app's efforts to make it even more social.
