US President Donald Trump has said that if his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska is successful, he will arrange a second meeting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be invited to attend.

President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin head to Alaska on Friday for a high-stakes summit as the U.S. seeks a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war.

US President Donald Trump said he expects his meeting with Vladimir Putin to go well, but added that what will be even more important is the second meeting after the Alaska summit, where the presidents of Ukraine and Russia will be joined by Trump and possibly by some European leaders.
