The National Weather Service released a flood advisory at 1:32 p.m. on Sunday in effect until 3:30 p.m. for Coffee County.

An updated flood watch was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 11:39 a.m. in effect until Monday at 7 p.m.

One person died Sunday as a result of flooding due to constant rainfall in east Alabama, according to officials.
