A Nantucket man is facing charges for allegedly cutting down his neighbor’s trees to boost ocean views and help sell his $10 million home.

A Nantucket family claims that their neighbor cut down trees on their property that were worth nearly $500,000 without their permission “to enhance the ocean view” from his home.

After taking a chainsaw to 16 of the trees, Jonathan Jacoby listed his home on the market, “boldly boasting its ‘sweeping view of the Atlantic Ocean,'" the lawsuit says.
