Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, the hack-and-slash-style spinoff of the Legend of Zelda series, covers the canonical events that led to Tears of the Kingdom. Most importantly, the game covers what Princess Zelda was up to hanging out in the past with the very handsome Goat King of Hyrule.

The latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase has come and gone, and it certainly hasn't disappointed if you're a fan of the humble JRPG.

Today's Nintendo Direct was the first since launch, and as a Partner Showcase it gave us a look at third-party games coming to Switch and Switch 2 later this year. So while we didn't see the likes of Mario, Metroid, or Zelda, there were still plenty of exciting game announcements to check out.
