Twenty-three people were injured in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, July 31, after an amusement park ride's supporting pole snapped in half and sent riders crashing to the ground, according to multiple reports.

The Saudi-owned Al Arabiya TV channel reported 23 injured, four of them seriously, in the accident yesterday. The amusement park in Taif, southwest Saudi Arabia, has been closed and an investigation is underway, Al Arabiya added.
