Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez said the department received 49 flood-related calls around 1 a.m. Saturday, and 112 flood-related calls by 3 a.m. Rescue efforts were complicated by road access being cut off due to flooding. TCSO special response teams later went door to door to check on residents in flood-affected areas.

Travis County is asking people affected from last week’s flood to sort and place debris on the curb over the weekend.

Travis County has reopened parts of Lake Travis after issuing a ban on public waterway usage, with local officials still recommending that residents and visitors exercise caution. The ban was updated July 13 to reflect that only areas upstream of mile marker 36 and Sandy Creek Park will remain closed.

A disaster recovery center is opening Friday at the Williamson County EMS North Campus in Georgetown. People affected by floods in both Williamson and Travis counties are now eligible for federal assistance from FEMA.
