President Trump is signing an executive order Tuesday to create a task force to oversee the LA Olympics, and he's putting himself in charge of it.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Tuesday creating a White House Olympics task force to handle security and other issues related to the 2028 summer Olympic games, an administration official told Reuters.

In March, the President signed an executive order establishing a similar White House task force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States. The group, chaired by President Trump, coordinates with federal agencies in preparation for the international soccer event, which includes games in Los Angeles.
