The U.S. has hit an unwelcome milestone in measles cases this year. The CDC is reporting 1,288 cases across the country. The disease was declared eliminated 25 years ago.

There are also large outbreaks of the vaccine-preventable disease in Mexico and Canada.

The FDA has upgraded the initial recall to a Class I threat, the highest risk level for consumers. The affected product was sold in California and Nevada and has a use-by date of August 29, 2025.
