Fire crews are working to contain a fast-moving brush fire in Ventura and Los Angeles counties that has led to evacuations on Thursday.

According to the report, California has seen over 4,400 wildfires so far this year, up from 3,800 during the same period last year. More than 221,100 acres have burned in 2025, significantly surpassing last year's total of 83,200 acres burned by July.
