(Reuters) -Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged a dilemma over the fifth bowler and said they would take a late decision on their team combination for Tuesday's series decider following their defeat in the second one-day international on Sunday.

Roston Chase and Justin Greaves led West Indies to a five-wicket victory over Pakistan with 10 balls to spare in the rain-reduced second one-day cricket international on Sunday, leveling the three-match series at 1-1.

The win catapulted the West Indies past Bangladesh into ninth position in the ICC ODI rankings — the final automatic qualification spot for the 2027 Cricket World Cup. Pakistan were given a decent, if not whirlwind start by openers Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub, who put on 37 runs for the first wicket.

Pakistan, meanwhile, made three changes to their team. Fast bowler Naseem Shah, left-arm wristspinner Sufiyan Muqim and allrounder Faheem Ashraf all dropped to the bench, with Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali and Abrar Ahmed taking their place.

Hasan Nawaz hit an unbeaten 63 which included a six and a clinching boundary in the second-to-last over to help Pakistan beat West Indies by five wickets in the first one-day international.

It was the Caribbean side’s first win against Pakistan in more than six years, their previous success coming at the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in Nottingham.
