Jimmy Kimmel blasted CBS for axing “ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ” after 10 seasons while throwing his support behind his friend and fellow late-night host.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel interrupted his summer vacation to show support for fellow late-night host Stephen Colbert following the announcement Thursday that CBS will be ending The Late Show with Stephen Colbert — and the Late Show franchise altogether — at the end of the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Kimmel raged against CBS in a post made to his Instagram Story. He shared a video of Colbert breaking the news on The Late Show Thursday (July 17) with the message, “Love you Stephen. Fuck you and all your Sheldons CBS.” Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen also admitted he was “stunned” by the news.
