The Packers were cautious with linebacker Quay Walker in his return from ankle surgery. Walker took his first team reps of training camp Aug. 5.

The Packers put linebacker Quay Walker on the physically unable to perform list ahead of training camp and General Manager Brian Gutekunst shared an update about when he might be back on the field during a Wednesday press conference.

Packers LB Quay Walker needed a clean up procedure on his ankle this offseason. He started training camp on the PUP list.

Packers linebacker Quay Walker said he had surgery on his ankle after the injury didn't heal on its own, and also said he's not too concerned about the team declining his fifth-year option, saying, "I just gotta prove myself right.
