Ford is recalling more than 456,000 of its Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles due to a safety risk. If you have one of these models, you should bring it to your dealer for inspection and a possible repair at no charge.

The vehicles' failure to detect a "sudden degradation" in the battery could lead to to a sudden loss of power, Ford warns.

Ford is recalling nearly 43,000 small SUVs because gasoline can leak from the fuel injectors onto hot engine surfaces, increasing the risk of fires.

Ford is recalling 456,565 SUVs and pickup trucks for loss of drive power because of a low battery issue, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents. Owners of the affected vehicles were to be notified about the recall by letter starting on April 1, according to the AP. There have been reports of about five under-hood fires and 14 fuel injectors replaced by warranty. There have been no reports of any crashes or injuries.
