Nocturnal tornadoes tore through Oklahoma, where the governor signed an executive order on Sunday declaring a disaster emergency. There were reports of injuries and at least four deaths.

Some towns were hit by multiple tornadoes, and widespread destruction was reported in Sulphur, Okla. Sunday’s risk will be highest around where Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas meet.

At least two people, including a child, died in tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma, authorities said Sunday.

About 106 tornadoes were detected in six states on Friday, with Nebraska and Iowa the hardest hit, officials said. In Oklahoma, emergency officials confirmed that a tornado tracked through western Hughes County around 11 p.

A few injuries had been reported as of Saturday morning, but no fatalities after tornadoes tore through parts of Iowa and Nebraska. More could come this weekend.
