With help from Olympic medalist Siobhan-Marie O'Connor, the "Star Wars" alum swapped Jedi training for swim training to play Gertrude Ederle in Joachim Rønning's biopic.

Disney has dropped the first Young Woman and the Sea clip from the upcoming biographical drama, starring Star Wars vet Daisy Ridley as she brings to life Trudy Ederle, the first woman to swim across the English Channel.

Daisy Ridley, who plays Ederle, spoke about the tenacious swimmer. "The difficulties she faced was all the sorts of trials and tribulations of being a woman of that time. She just refused to be boxed in, puts in a lot of effort and starts winning absolutely everything."
