Guns N’ Roses appear on five Billboard charts this week with a beloved compilation and two hit singles—and all of their wins are climbing.

According to Guns N’ Roses ’ guitarist Slash, a new album could currently be in the works for the rock band. Right now, he’s “working” with his bandmates “in that capacity,” per Blabbermouth. It’s been a while since the band released a full-length album – the last time was back in 2008 with “ Chinese Democracy .”

Slash has revealed that Guns N' Roses are planning to make a new record – their first since 2008's Chinese Democracy. When the band's eventual seventh album sees the light of day, it will be the first to feature Slash on guitar since 1993's The Spaghetti Incident?

The first new Guns N' Roses song to feature Slash and Duff McKagan in 27 years, "Absurd" features all the pieces you'd want in a new GNR song - piercing wails from Axl Rose, grinding guitar from Slash and a thumping bassline from McKagan. Too bad it's all thrown together in a confusingly shapeless, grating jumble. (Matthew Wilkening)
