If the rumors are to be believed, the grand unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series is going to be happening next month – and it looks very much as though we're going to get at least one premium-level smartwatch in the collection.

Samsung has confirmed that "new premium models" will launch later this year, fuelling further speculation that an Apple Watch Ultra rival will arrive alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 series.

One rumor that has been mentioned by two different leakers is that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 will feature a brand-new chipset. WinFuture's Roland Quandt tweeted in January that the new watch will be based around a new Exynos W940. He mentions this is a guess at the marketing name and that the internal name is Exynos 5535.
