Existing-home sales dip, but prices hit new all-time high
The nationwide median sale price was $419,300, up 5.8 percent from last year and a new record high. Inventory in May rose to a 3.7-month supply, a 6.7 percent improvement over April but still low enough to be considered a seller's market.
