Supreme Court Upholds CFPB Funding Structure
In a 7-2 ruling issued Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the funding structure of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). A ruling in favor of the challenge could have called into question every regulation and enforcement action that the CFPB has taken since its inception 13 years ago through the passage of the the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
