Stolen slippers, a witch hat and millions of dollars, oh my! Dorothy's iconic ruby slippers featured in the 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz" auctioned for over $30 million at Heritage Auctions' Dec.

A pair of iconic ruby slippers that were worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz and stolen from a museum nearly two decades ago sold for a winning bid of 28 million dollars (£21.8 million) at auction on Saturday.

The sequined shoes, one of four surviving pairs from the 1939 movie musical, were once stolen from a Minnesota museum and later recovered by the FBI.
