During the investigation, the police discovered that a woman and a 3-year-old were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The 16-year-old’s mother, Vanessa Morales, briefly spoke in the courtroom and said her son is always home. Several members of the teen’s family sat beside his mother.
