Nelson County man Austin Truslow has been sentenced to five years in prison for object sexual penetration, avoiding a harsher punishment for his original charge: rape.

Prosecutors are willing to forego a third bribery trial for former Portage Mayor James Snyder if he's sentenced on his still-intact conviction for obstructing the IRS.
