B illionaire X owner Elon Musk posted a poll to the platform Saturday asking whether conspiracy theorist Alex Jones should have his account reinstated more than five years after he was permanently banned—with reinstatement receiving overwhelming support in the poll as of Saturday afternoon.

Elon Musk created a poll on X asking users if Alex Jones should be allowed back on the platform Saturday, since the conspiracy theorist was banned years ago.

Elon Musk said he will restore the account of right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on X after users voted for the reinstatement five years after a ban.

"The people have spoken and so it shall be," Musk posted in reply to a poll on Saturday on whether to reinstate the Jones account. Close to 2 million votes were cast by the time the poll closed, with about 70% voting in favor of Jones' return.
