Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced former Hollywood mogul whose downfall spurred a global reckoning over sexual abuse and harassment of women, was found guilty in Manhattan on Wednesday of a felony sex crime for the second time in a little more than five years.

The jury told the judge Wednesday they had reached a verdict on two of the counts and could not reach a verdict on the third.

In reaching the mixed verdict, the jury appeared to credit the testimony of one accuser, disbelieve the testimony of another and deadlock over that of a third. But the conviction on the single count alone makes it unlikely that the retrial will fundamentally change the public’s view of the disgraced movie producer.

The jury delivered its partial verdict Wednesday, convicting the ex-studio boss of one of the top charges but acquitting him of another. Both charges concern accusations of forcing oral sex on women in 2006.
