Honda is recalling more than 65,100 Accord sedans over an issue with the drive shaft that may cause it to corrode and fail.

The brake pedal issue could lead to an increased risk of crashing, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

An internal investigation by Honda found that a particular assembly lubricant – P-80 and/or TB2720C – used during production was defective. This allows road debris and de-icing agents like salt to build up within the casing of the driveshaft.
