The National Hurricane Center is monitoring three tropical waves in the Atlantic basin, including one in the western Caribbean.

Along with Saharan dust, rain can be expected to continue in some locations, along with higher temps and a heat index in the triple digits.

National Hurricane Center forecasters on June 8 said tropical activity in the Atlantic, Caribbean or Gulf of America is unlikely for now.

The latest tropical wave is just starting to move west from the African coast, while the others are tracking across the central Atlantic and the western Caribbean. No tropical development is expected over the next seven days despite a continued stream of tropical waves spilling across the Atlantic,
