Oil futures edged up on Wednesday as Iran suspended cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog and markets weighed expectations of more supply from major producers next month while the U.S. dollar softened further.

The price of oil rose and U.S. stock futures fell as global markets react to the U.S. strike against nuclear targets in Iran.

Consumer prices were 2.0% higher than a year ago, down from the 2.1% inflation rate of May, and lower than what polled economists had expected.
