The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Friday reversed a lower court's ruling from almost two weeks ago that had said the two most populous counties of the battleground state will not be able to throw out mail-in votes over incorrect envelope dates.

On Friday, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania vacated a case surrounding undated or misdated ballots. The majority ruled that the legal battle should involve all 67 boards of elections, not just Philadelphia and Allegheny counties. The Pennsylvania ALCU brought that case.

A coalition of voting rights advocates is trying again to get the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to conclusively decide whether voters need to date their mail ballot return envelope in order for their vote to be counted,

Pennsylvania’s mail ballots continue to be at the center of legal proceedings, and with less than six weeks until Election Day, there’s still a fight over whether a minor technical mistake should be disqualifying.
