Fort Wayne Councilwoman Sharon Tucker was chosen during a Saturday caucus to replace its late mayor, who died in March.

Wednesday was the first anniversary of Tucker being sworn in as Fort Wayne’s 37th mayor. She took office after winning the Democratic caucus to succeed Mayor Tom Henry after he died of cancer.
