After using my new OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7 for a week, I've had an overall great experience. After going from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 7, I am very impressed with how OtterBox has improved the quality of all their components, starting with the screen protector. The iPhone 7 Defender built-in screen protector now includes a thin film that goes over the thumb print scanner! It does not interfere with unlocking your phone AT ALL. It is my favorite new feature of the Defender series. \r\nThe only thing I do not like about the new slip cover, is the cover for the charging port. As seen in the picture, instead of bending towards the back of the phone, it bends upwards creating the slip cover to come unattached from the shell (as seen in the picture). This allows dust and crud inside to get in between the shell/slip cover. Again, I've only had the case since September 16th (when I got the iPhone 7). Overall, I would recommend the OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7. It provides great protection while still in a relatively thing design.

The case fits snug on my iPhone just like the Otterbox that I had bought for my 12.9 iPad a couple years ago did and still does. Holding my phone with it on there is much nicer now with the grip and thickness. \r\n\r\nOver the last two years my iPad has been dropped several times and has never been damaged, and I’m sure this Otterbox will provide the same protection for my phone. \r\n\r\nThe feature I like best on both Otterboxes is that you can flip the clip/stand piece around and it totally covers and protects your screen. Also the built in clear touch screen protector works perfect and with the one on my iPad being over two years old I’m amazed that there’s still no blemishes/marks on it. It works and looks like the day I bought it, actually the whole Otterbox looks good still. \r\n \r\nThe screen protector, and the drop protection that it has offered for my iPad over the years is why I purchased this Defender case for my phone.

I had never dropped or broken a phone until I purchased my iPhone. I still drop it constantly. About 6 months ago, I had been dragging my finger against the broken glass of a sad abused phone. About 6 months ago, my manager upgraded his phone to a larger one, and gave me his old Otterbox since we had the same phone. The cracks have stayed exactly the same! With one crack running perfectly diagonally across my screen, one would expect every drop to worsen the state of my screen. Nope. Not since I put this Otterbox on over the cracks. It's been months now, and still running fine. Now it's finally time for a phone upgrade, and I've told my husband that I'm not getting a new phone ordered until I can afford an Otterbox first. Never again. OB forever.

Stupidly, I put my phone on the top of my car. I got distracted and forgot it was on the car. I drove down the street and about 2 miles from my house, the phone went flying off the roof to the left as I turned to the right. I was driving perhaps 35 MPH. I went back expecting to find the phone broken and shattered. But the Defender Pro Series Case it was in protected it and it worked fine. The plastic corners that hold the phone were broken off, and the phone and case were separated, but the case absorbed all the shock of the fall from 5' height at 35 mph. Thank you OtterBox for such a great product. It does work. I bought a new case to replace the old one and promise to not put my phone on the roof of my car again!!!!

It’s a great case! I love the color, a brighter blue than I’d expected, but lovely. You can just tell it’s good quality when you fit it on the phone. It’s snug and perfect and while I never feel completely safe with throwing my phone on my bed when I get home, this is about as close as I’ll come to that. The defender is fantastic protection. Well, I’ve only had this one for a week now, but I’m expecting it to stand up to my expectations. Had my other defender (on the SE) for 4 years before the rubber flap over the headphone port came off, and even then the phone was still safe (not a scratch, and I work on a farm and have done all kinds of crazy things with it untouched). Here’s to the same great lifespan with this one!

I replaced an old clip on version because the new purchase was an upgrade to the 17 Pro Max, I am pleased to say I take off the defender cover only to take pictures, to be honest without the defender covering the phone feels and looks different, more like unfamiliar, and to me it's nice to have a secure felling with just a glance or the touch, the options for positioning is very much appreciated, I been on several zoom calls away from my computer and the efficiency that the swivel action provides for my phone is outstanding and useful, I won't take my phone with me out of the house without the defender cover.

Boring colors- so sick of the same ugly colors-need to have nicer, prettier colors on defender-prettier florals too. (The one you have is ugly) Maybe a tie dye version. If it can be done for other lines of the otterbox I'm sure you can figure it out for your MOST expensive otterbox! Also, what about a waterproof capability? I noticed the new waterproof are not for the 16 e or 16 plus pro max. Getting sick of otterbox not listening as I have made suggestions before. Might have to look into other covers. As far as safety, otterbox defender is the best-only thing that keeps me coming back.

I been using Outtabox Defender cases since the iPhone 3GS they always provide maximum protection and this new case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max is no different.I love the slimmer design and the raised design at the top and bottom of the case so the screen won't touch surfaces when drop so you don't need a screen protector with this case.My only issue is the belt holster the phone doesn't seem to lock into place that good like previous holsters I had but it holds the phone into place but takes very little effort to release the phone from the holster.Outtabox needs to fix this ASAP!!!!!

Recently your star rating screen has glitched out and I can't select all of the options from that screen.\n\nThough this arrived new in its case no instructions were included.\n\nAfter conducting an online search for how to get my phone into the case I learned that the case has three components in addition to the included cover/belt mount part,\n\nOnce I knew that I had to do the following steps everything was fine.\n\nFirst remove the rubber like backing from the case, then separate the top frame from the rest of the case.\n\nPlace the phone into the bottom of the case and reverse the previous steps.

I have always used otter boxes for my phones. They have protected my phones perfectly from damage. I have been able to give my old phone away when I needed a new one. They are like new when passed on. However, this one I ordered a happy purple color and received black. I don't care for black. I would have ordered something different if I would have known I was getting black. But there you have it they advertised happy purple and shipped black. I'm not happy about it.

i use otter box defender series cases for every phone i get . this case for my new iphone 13 pro max has disappointed me a little bit so far (about a month now) . case & holder are excellent as usual but the case does not seem as secure in the holder as other versions i have previously had . have endures several accidental releases & drops , no damage to the phone itself though— completely protected ! maybe a little more tension between the case & the holder

This is the only case i'll use for my phones. I drop my phone all the time. I have never broken my phone. *knocks on wood*\n\nThey last about a year before the charger cover breaks off and the rubber case part gets a little loose, BUT even then it still protects the phone well. \n\nI wish they came in more colors/designs, but it doesn't meed to be pretty if it works.\n\nI also wish there was an option without the holster. I never use it bc it doesn't work well with leggings.

I have used two prior versions of the Defender OtterBox. While I really like the protection it provides, I really miss the built-in screen protector. Why was this discontinued in this newer design. In over 15 yrs of use, I had never had a damaged screen or needed a replacement iPhone due to drop/use damage. I see this as a downgrade from what OtterBox Defender used to provide.

Otherwise this is a very good rugged case with a belt holster and kickstand. \n\nThe iPhone 13 wireless charging is reliable with the Scosche BaseLynx system only without the Otter Defender Pro case or with only the inner hard case installed, but without the rubbery outer skin. \n\nThe iPhone 13 will occasionally begin wireless charging with the full Defender Pro case installed, but only after very careful adjustment of the position over the round circle target on the Scosche BaseLynx or by pressing down slightly on the phone/case to kickstart the wireless charging. \n\nThe issue may be due to the wireless coupling strength of the Scosche BaseLynx wireless charging module, the thickness of the Defender Pro two-part case when assembled, or a combination of both. Nonetheless, in this configuration wireless charging is unreliable.

I accidentally left my phone on the hood my car and drove down the road. At 55 mph the phone flew off the hood and hit the windshield as well as the side mirror, the tumbled into the grass. It was a brand new Iphone 17. No damage to the phone but some scratches on the case and corner of the protective screen. This is why I buy the otter boxes. Only thing I didn't like was having to order the holster separate.

I love this case! The Otherbox iPhone 11 Defender Series Case in black is all I needed to protect my phone. It's super durable, has multiple shock absorbing layers, and gives me peace of mind knowing my iPhone is safe from drops. Plus, the design doesn't make the phone uncomfortable to handle, and the grip is excellent. Hands down, the best case for those looking for durability and security. I 100% recommend it!

I have bought other phone cases, NONE work as well as Otter cases!!! They are thick, durable and actually protect your phone!!! The ridge on the front of the case protects the glass screen! The belt clips are sturdy (though they will break eventually and are the reason I have had to buy new cases) and actually hold the phone on a belt without falling off!!! I highly recommend Otter Cases!!!

Great and sturdy. Needs better instructions though. I spent almost a good hour trying to figure out why I was only given 2/4 pieces and why the phone case wasn't going on my phone. Come to find you're SUPPOSED to peel the outer silicone shell from the case. Safe to say I felt kind of silly when I figured this out. \n\nGreat phone case all in all, feels very secure and sturdy.

Awesome protection! Even though it's not totally waterproof it was great enough to save my phone. I accidentally swam with my phone in my pocket. My otter box was about 1 month old. When I discovered my error took it out of my pocket and it still worked!! I removed the otter box and wiped out the little water that did get in. Phone saved, great product!!

My phone is still perfectly safe and not even cracked! I'm impressed!!! All my other phone cases have had cracked screens when dropped or once even shattered completely but my new otterbox one has been with me for a month and was perfect even after falling out of my pocket while, hitting the ice below and sliding away!!!!!

Always had a Otterbox on my phone. Got a new IPhone 17 Pro Max and the carrier didn’t have Otterbox in their store. Ordered the case & holster on line & now my new IPhone feels right in my hand. I can close the holster over the screen for added protection while carrying. I feel confident in Otterbox protection!

This is my third Otterbox Defender case. I do feel it is very durable for my very thin phone which I know I would drop. My first two cases were on sale. This one was not on sale. So it is pricier than previous cases. What my husband and I disliked was the poor diagram for how to install it on the phone. It does not indicate the two white pieces must be separated first. No, we did not remember how to install it from three years ago. This case does not include a screen protector so I sure hope my screen does not get damaged. I read the reason for no longer including a screen protector is it would reduce the functionality of new features. Of course, a screen protector is an optional purchase. I chose not to purchase it and to hope for the best. I would still recommend this case for protection of an expensive phone. And, the screen protectors I had always were dirty and very cleanable.

It's bulky. This may be good if you don't mind the extra size. The phone locks securely to holster. \nIt takes a bit of effort to remove but that means it is more secure when in the holster. It's not something I will use. I will continue to put the phone in a pocket of pants or jacket.
