We received the freezer about two months ago. Really love the door close assist (if a few inches open) -- sometimes freezers have a pressure differential such that you may think the door has closed, but it is not fully closed. The freezer is very quiet and there is plenty of room. It gets cold very quickly, and it looks great. \r\n\r\nWhat I don't like: \r\n\r\n- You can't set the freezer to a particular temperature -- you can only make it colder or less cold. I have to use my infrared temperature thermometer to see what the real temperature is. \r\n\r\n- Six months prior, I purchased a garage-ready Frigidaire refrigerator -- the "fraternal twin" of the freezer (Identical in size and appearance). The refrigerator came with a cover for the bottom right hinge (to cover the exposed metal). The freezer did not. In order to make the "fraternal twins" look identical, I had to purchase a cover for it from Frigidaire -- which cost over $30+tax. Disappointed that I spent so much on the freezer and then needed to purchase a $30+ plastic part. \r\n\r\nIt can get really hot where we live in Texas. We have a 20-year-old Frigidaire (that is not garage-ready, as the new one is) in the same garage as this one is that is still running great - so I expect that this one will last a long time also. And it better after spending an extra $30+ for a plastic part. \r\n\r\nI would have rated this product as "excellent" (5 stars) if I didn't need to make that purchase.

The upright design makes it so much easier to access without having to dig through like my old chest freezer.\nThe construction also feels and looks very high quality. The bright white finish inside and out looks clean and the overhead interior light does a great lighting up the freezer.\nTemperature performance has been excellent. I currently have it set to 0°F in my uninsulated garage, and it has been holding that temperature very consistently. After sitting unopened for a while, I checked it and the temperature was actually reading -5°F.\nI really like the digital temperature display and controls on the front of the unit. Being able to check and adjust the temperature without opening the door is a simple feature, but a very useful one.\nAnother feature I really appreciate is that the unit can be converted from a freezer to a refrigerator if needed. I bought it primarily as a freezer, but having that flexibility makes it much more useful long term.\nSo far, this freezer has exceeded my expectations. It has a lot of space, feels well built, maintains excellent temperatures even in my uninsulated garage, and has several thoughtful features that make it easy to use. I am extremely happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

When I discovered a refrigerator and freezer set that was not only stainless steel but also standalone units, I had to get them! \n\nThis review focuses mainly on the freezer. It's a stand-alone freezer, unlike the refrigerator-freezer combo I had before. It has wire shelving and door storage, which is perfect for the small bags of vegetables and fruits we tend to stock up on. I love how spacious the freezer is. I easily put all the contents from my original freezer into this one, with room left over for future purchases. I also love the light and the fact that it's stainless steel and fingerprint-proof! It really makes my basement look more spacious and gives it a more organized feel. The freezer is pretty easy to move, which surprised me given its size. Opening and closing the freezer door was also easy. I did have a bit of an issue getting the basket back in after cleaning it, but I eventually figured it out and was able to take it out and put it back in with no more trouble. If you want a clean, professional-looking freezer with ample storage space, I definitely recommend this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has really enjoyed adding the Frigidaire Freezer to our home. We love having the extra storage space for our frozen foods. I would like to have an extra shelf in the freezer because there is a huge space between some of the shelves. I do really like the shelves/bins on the door. They are great for holding smaller items that could get lost in the other section of the freezer. I really like the green light that is at the bottom. You can easily tell if the freezer is on without having to open the door. The EvenTemp cooling system keeps the same temperature throughout the entire freezer, helping eliminate freezer burned foods. There is supposed to be a door alarm that notifies you when you leave the door open but it doesn’t seem to work. I accidently left the freezer door open and no alarm went off after about 5 mins. I do like though, that the door will automatically close and suction up if you don’t seem to close it all the way. In the end, we are just happy to have the extra freezer storage space that has some good added features.

It is an upgrade to my previous upright frost free Frigidaire deep freezer that lasted over 25 years. I replaced it because I needed more space and wanted the light. Those 2 requirements have been successfully matched. One word of caution, make sure the freezer is closed all the way, the items that were previously on the door shelves thawed quickly. My 10 year old didn't pay attention to closing it and this freezer doesn't alert that the door is open, the light just cuts off. Thankfully only ice cream snacks and Popsicles were impacted. Some reviews mention the basket being an issue, but that has not been a problem. We checked this feature with the store model before purchasing online. We keep ice packs and bags of ice in the bin. You just have to make sure the bottom door shelf and the items in the bin don't prevent the freezer door from closing. We apologize for the clutter, we had to hurry and move items from coolers to the new freezer when the exchange took place! :) \r\nOverall, we are happy and hope we can get 20+ years from this new deep freezer.

Exactly what I was looking for.\r\nOne manufacturing flaw I noticed is the wire basket in the bottom is just a bit to large and it catches on the door when opening but it does not effect a tight seal when closed.\r\nI suspect some baskets were out of tolerance during production.\r\nIt's not a big deal for me as I removed the basket because I wouldn't use it. \r\nI use cardboard boxes as my organizers for most all of my meat products.\r\nProduct has an excellent price point and has great value per dollar spent.\r\nI was able to empty and get rid of two old 10 cubic feet chest freezers and I still have room to spare in my new freezer.\r\nFreezer is perfect for my storage room and all my frozen storage needs.\r\nI love the green power on light as all my computer and networking devices in my home are green light themed.\r\nI just wish this model was offered in black.

It's caused some ice build up, that I've had to clean up a few times. I've reorganized dozens of times to make sure nothing is blocking it..but the seals still seem weak, no resistance pulling a dollar bill through the seal suction. Which i would thing the auto shut mechanism would help with that. I've resorted to 2 child safety latches to force a secure close. Just disappointed as I thought the extra security measures it came with meant i wouldn't need them anymore. Its just under 2 months old, so I'm not sure what to think. Other than that, I would love it.

The shelves are a generous size, providing easy viewing of all contents. The door seals tight and closes on its own if left ajar. The bright LED light assists with that as well. The unit is garage ready so it can withstand extreme temperatures and includes a temperature alarm in case of an incident. A small floor light also assists in temperature monitoring. An easy-to-use internal dial controls the temp. Best of all, it has the Frigidaire name and was reasonably priced!!!

We are in the South where temps in the garage can easily reach 100 degrees, and it's always a concern with frozen foods that the freezer cannot handle the heat. It was exciting to see Frigidaire selling a unit made for this exact purpose and it delivers as advertised. The stainless finish looks great and appears to be low maintenance which is excellent for the garage. The professional installers set it up for us where we wanted it and after powering it up it froze a cup of water in about 2.5 hours during a hot June day. We were able to load it with frozen goods after 12 or so hours and it's working like a champ.

This is a nice freezer. Loads of room. The glass shelves are nice. It is well lit, and the pockets in the doors are very roomy. My only flaw is that when you open it, and close it, you can't open it again right away. I think it has to be with the vacuum seal. I wish they would have a workaround for this. When I try to force it open, the whole thing moves. I have this on a platform in my garage, so it shifts off the platform when I try to force it open. I usually have to wait 10-15 minutes before I can open it again. The seal is very tight. \r\nI have this in my unheated garage year-round, and have had no issues in the freezing temperatures.

The improved air circulation system and variable stage compressor are nice upgrades to maintain uniform temperature. Also, appreciate the alarms for open door and over temperature. The only negative comment is that the door is not self closing from 1/2 way open, as was the old unit. You need to close it to 6" from closed, past the detent for it to self close. otherwise, you need to give it a push to swing past the detent. Not sure that this design is better to insure that the door is closed. Just my opinion.

It has 4 glass shelves and we feel it could use one more. The biggest dislike is the glass shelves. Im not sure why they didnt go with the metal shelving. Alot of the items we put on the shelves slide all around. We usually store ice bags as backup as well and feel like the glass shelves are not going to hold them very well which is concerning. I really wish this came with the option of metal or glass shelves, as we would surely have chosen metal.

This one uses less energy and has a smart board controller for efficiency. It is about 4" shallower than the old one but has plenty of room.\r\n for the 1/2 cow we buy every 2 years to keep it full. Do yourself a huge favor and install a high quality SURGE SUPPRESSOR on the outlet to protect it from brownout and voltage spikes on your electrical service. My son in law just burned up his freezer due to a tree falling on a power line and it caused a brownout and trashed his 4 year old freezer. He bought a new Frigidaire 20'. Smart move I think.

We purchased it because it has features that we did not have on our previous (other brand) freezer which quit running & we lost all our frozen food. The Frigidaire has a temperature monitor on the outside of the door which shows the unit is working correctly & also shows if the temperature rises. An alarm also sounds if the temperature rises &/or the door is not properly closed. These features would have saved us hundreds of dollars in lost food if we had these features on our previous freezer. We are looking forward to many years of worry free use with our Frigidaire freezer.

We had a prior Frigidaire 20 upright model for many years and replaced it simply because we sensed we were on borrowed time, and this unit went on sale. That prior freezer was a workhorse that served us really well after replacing a chest freezer. \nPictures of this current model with food in it are accurate… don't test its capacity! \nWe had two service calls because the door barely sealed when closed. With the second service we learned that filling the door with weighty items (hot dogs, bacon, butter) makes it not want to close tightly. Totally emptied the door seals beautifully, but is useless. \nDitto with the basket, which is made of VERY thin wire. If you put heavy food items in the basket, even if it doesn't exceed the top, the basket slightly deforms and the door doesn't want to seal. \nI will need to find upright boxes to use in, or in lieu of, the basket to make that space useful, and somehow sort only lighter items for storage in the door. Sadly, I wonder if a small supplemental chest freezer is in my future for heavy items.

The only reason to not give it 5 star rating is because of the basket that came in the bottom of the freezer. The pictures Frigidare advertises for this freezer show a different style of basket. This was a feature shown for this freezer that we liked. The online parts manual shows that different basket which doesn't come with this freezer. Frigidare needs to update their advertising to reflct what the consumer is actually purchasing.

This is a great capacity freezer and looks great. There is a design flaw in the little magnet that sits in the door that helps regulate the internal temperature. It can fall out which causes the alarm to sound. If you lose this small magnet, which is barely held in place, your freezer warms up. The manual mentions nothing about it. We only learned about this issue from YouTube. Thankfully, we found this small magnet and were able to affix it into place. This magnet is now something we are mindful of when opening and closing the freezer door.

We had four criteria in search: 1) 20+ cubic feet 2) Temperature alarm 3) Made for garage 4) within budget. \r\n\r\nWe are so pleased with this purchase and have already recommended this product to our family and friends. The produce drawer is nice and big. Plus there is a temperature control. It comes with a filter that is better than baking soda. The shelves on the door are large enough to set a gallon of milk on, plus keeps it cold, no need to worry about the milk spoiling. There is plenty of room in the bottom freezer with a pull out top section which is where the ice disperses. The best part is the water is filtered and cold. Love this refrigerator

The not as good. Needs to have one more shelf. The bottom bin should have full extension sliders. Not very deep so things like racks of ribs do not fit front to back. That takes up an unnecessary amount of space. At least one or two more pull out wire bins would be very helpful for storing smaller items together.

Received the freezer, set up nicely by polite young men. The first thing we noticed was quite a bit of banging noises that were initially concerning. On the back 5 little white dots in a star shape starting showing up! All over! But in 24 hours all noises had stopped and I am going assume the little dots were seals of some sort. It matches my other stainless appliances and has a sleek, modern design. Additionally, it’s easily accessed with the big wide door and that door also gives you a lot of added storage. As you can see by the pictures that this freezer fits perfectly in my garage and when they say it’s garage ready it is perfect was delivered so I just had to move it in place and put the food in it. I have 2 minor issues. 1) The door does not close on its own. 2) The freezer made A LOT of noise the first 12 or so hours it was on. So much in the fact that I called Frigidaire out of concern. They were very willing to replace it if necessary, but the noises did stop. Noises are hard to explain but a lot of snap crackle and pop sounds as well as expansion and contraction crackling. Frigidaire should post an informational message that this could be normal on first startup.
