Very disappointed with Wayfairs assembly contractor Angi. But appreciate Wayfair stepping up to compensate for the poor - no, dismal - service (lack of service) by Angi.\n\nShort version I ordered a Clintonville Executive Desk in May, and purchased the assembly service. I would not have purchased such a large desk without the assembly service. Angi scheduled - and canceled - the appointment 5 times! Each time giving me only 30 minutes advance notice. \n\nWithout a desk to work at, I have had to make do with boxes for my computer, etc.. Every time the tech is scheduled to come, Ive had to unplug my computer, printer, etc., to make space for the desk assembly. Then, when they dont show up, back up go the boxes, reconnecting the computer, etc.. 5 times!! Needless to say, not a happy camper.\n\nCalled Wayfair customer service. They refunded my assembly costs and waived an additional charge. Wayfair gets a 5-star rating for stepping up. Angi gets a big fat Zero (0). Thus an overall rating of 3-stars.\n\nBeware if you are a rural homeowner relying on assembly. Its hit-and-miss at best.

I am relatively happy with this purchase. It took about 5 hours to put this beast together. There are some components that look so similar, it's easy to use the wrong part earlier in the process and then have to remove them later to put the right part in. The items that are easily identified are marked with a number or letter. The parts that are not easily discerned are not marked ( kind of stupid when you think about it). The final product looks nice with the exception of a few marks on the desktop which happened during shipping. The finish is very thin and easy to scratch. I'm buying an acrylic desktop to protect the surface because even the use of a mouse on the surface will damage it.

Even though this arrived with 2 damaged pieces (one door front and the long keyboard trim piece), I am still giving it 5 stars due to the fact Sauders sent me replacements for both very quickly. The instructions for getting damaged pieces is right on the front of the instructions. I went online and ordered it on a Sunday and had them both 3 days later, no explanation required. The box is extremely heavy and the desk took me about 2 hours to assemble. I found it helpful to lay out all the pieces in one area and as I assembled, to move them to the room I wanted the desk in. The picture is a little deceiving as there are not 6 individual drawers in this desk. There are 2 sets of large drawers that have a front that makes them look like 2 drawers each. Overall I am very happy with it though it looks great.

Bought this for my son to use. It is not solid wood, but I did not expect that in this price range. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the desk for the price. The top and some of the front pieces are a higher (stronger) quality wood product. It does have many pieces and assembly required, but again I was expecting this for the price range. The instructions were very easy to follow with pictures and even You Tube videos available to aid. The major pieces were labeled so it was easy to correlate with the instruction booklet. I did not need the videos, but nice to know it is available. The overall appearance is very nice. I am happy with this purchase. \n\nThis article arrived exactly according to the scheduled date I was informed of, which was also a pleasant surprise.

Very heavy (178 lbs said the delivery man) and comes in a tall, flat box. Lay it down before opening or all the pieces will slide. Two people and an entire afternoon are required to assemble the desk, and lots of patience. Ours came with a damaged corner of one of the drawers but it would have been impossible to repackage it for return. When it was all put together it is pretty. The tone of the finish is a little redder than it appears in the picture. Our computer tower did fit in the right side cabinet.

We like the desks. Took awhile to put together but that was OK. We ordered two desks and two filing cabinets. What we didn't like was that they were all different heights. We were hopping they would all be the same level. A notation we didn't like is when you use the words "Manufactured Wood". This term is a walkaround for the use of sawdust, glue, and photo finish. Even though it looks good it is not wood.

This is a very well made desk for the price. I bought this to sit between two tall bookshelves and it looks quite nice and very functional. I especially like that the keyboard drawer is wide enough for a large keyboard and mousepad. There were a few scratches that I treated with Olde English so the packaging could have been better. It did take several hours to assemble but the end result was worth it.

It took two of us hours to put together but the instructions were good and all pieces were there. We were a little disappointed that some of the corners of the top were slightly damaged and one runner slide for the drawer was not well secured and kept falling out, but we're were able to fix it. Overall, the desk is good looking and functional and will serve our needs well.

This desk is the perfect size for my room. Now I have plenty of desk space without having a monster of a desk in my room. I was a little disappointed that it only has 3 drawers, I will make them work and the drawers are not at wide as I thought they would be another thing that is frustrating is that the front keyboard drawer does not stay closed when I have a keyboard in it.

Assembly takes quite while (3 hours for us) but with two people it was fairly easy. Keyboard tray doesn't close easily if you have a number of cords going to power strip. There's an ugly empty space between filing cabinet drawer and top drawer, but it really isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and it looks REALLY nice :)

Desk went together with little problem. Desk looks good and will work fine for me.\nWhat I didn't like ...\nIgnore the instruction to tighten the connecting piece screws as tight as possible. After stripping the 1st one, all others were tightened with medium pressure. Also was missing 2 screws, but I had my own screws to make up the shortfall.

The package was damaged on the upper corner, contents were exposed. Once putting the desk together (instructions very well written and easy to follow) it took 5 to 6 hours. I was quite pleased until the end when I noticed the key board front (J) was damaged I would like them to send only that replacement.

Since I’m now working from home this desk has been a Godsend! Both computer monitors fit nicely and I still have room for writing and putting together reports. The storage is proving to be exactly what I need. Putting it together was fairly easy, but I suggest that it really is a two person job

It did take 4 hours to put together (by myself) but everything lined up correctly and the desk looks nice. I didn't use the included power surge protector that goes in the keyboard drawer; i used my own (which still would have fit in keyboard drawer but i choose to put it in the right cabinet area). Overall very happy with purchase. FYI, i keep my chair pretty low to the ground and the arms still hit the keyboard drawer so you probably wont be able to roll chair all the way in, if space is an issue.

Desk was a great buy but the assembly was a bit challenging. It took us three days to assemble as it had a lot of small screws and parts, and the directions were a bit confusing. Fit the space that we needed but warn customers that it is very heavy once assembled.

Excellent product. Just a pity the hardware for installation was short of 2 vital bolts and the fronts of the drawers were not properly aligned with the relevant holes. I managed to fix this with my own carpentry but it spoilt the overall experience.

Beautiful desk with lots of storage and large workspace. Purchased for my 18 yr old son who wanted to put it together himself. A little trouble with top left drawer but he worked it out. Very sturdy...heavy on delivery; needs two people to move it. Sorry some folks have had damaged desks upon arrival. I saw this one get dropped when delivery man was putting it on the dolly; was surprised there was no damage, just a tiny chip in insignificant spot. Would recommend.-Anonymous

The top of the computer desk has some scratches and the trim piece that goes on the front was very poorly finished. There was excess glue on the front of the door and I’m not sure how to remove it without damaging the finish. The front piece of the keyboard had a large chip out of it which I assume was done at the factory because the box did not have any visible damage to it. It looks like it was dropped on a hard surface. Is there a cherry coloured repair tool available for the scratches? I’ve contacted Sauder and they are sending a replacement part for the keyboard tray.

Bought several items to outfit a home office and this desk worked out great. Assembly went well. Only thing I really recommend is to glue the 2 uprights to the desk bottom once you are sure those are correctly assembled. The cams that attach them are good, but I felt better turning the desk back upright with those uprights glued in place. Great desk, lots of drawer space and looks more expensive than what it cost.

This is a terrific desk. It's simply beautiful and very spacious. Really elegant. Oh, and it had a bzillion parts but everything was very well labelled. We had all but one small part which was necessary for the front panel (hiding the keyboard) to close. I just called Wayfair and they sent us out a replacement part immediately. Good reviews from us for Wayfair Customer Service.

This desk is as beautiful as the picture. My husband and I put it together perfectly until the very last part when we had to attach the front to the keyboard table. I called, sent a picture and the customer service rep realized our hinges were bent. Replacements were sent and again we called and the service rep walked us through the process. We are very pleased with the service.
