Growing up, Kenwood was always a solid option and was known for making quality products. This radio lives up to their reputation with both wireless and wired CarPlay, HD radio, bluetooth, USB charging, and HDMI for screen mirroring YouTube or any other streaming service. Screen is large & bright with sharp images and great radio reception. Allows images to be transferred wirelessly with a Kenwood app that allow you to customize the screen saver. Combined with Idatalink Maestro, I was able to retain factory settings and even gained the ability to have real time vehicle updates (tire pressure, code scanning, RPM's, speed and fuel percentage just to name a few). Sound quality is amazing and comes with a 13 band EQ, and the shallow depth allows for easy installation with plenty of room to spare for all the additional wiring. If I have to nitpick something it would be that I wish they would make a high powered unit with 50, 60,70 watts RMS to avoid having to go with an external amp (but I don't know any manufacturer that does that), and would have liked for the money to have an HD display along with a full size HDMI connection instead of a micro as it would have avoided having to purchase an adapter, but that is not a deal breaker as the pros, far out way the cons. All in all, I am very happy with the unit , as it brought my 08 Chevy Avalanche to par with much newer trucks, and you CANNOT beat Crutchfield's customer service and product knowledge assistance.

This head unit works great in my 09 Taco. Android Auto paired seamlessly the first time wired, then every time after wirelessly (Samsung S22+). I paired my wife's phone as well, and can use it as an option to stream music, while my phone is paired for calls. Handsfree works flawlessly and was able to make it sound like I was not "handsfree" on the other end. It even muffled out the all-terrain tire roar! Operating instructions are not very clear, but with some hands on, getting the radio set up and looking the way I wanted was easy. Sadly, the radio does not store the custom background(s), but the phone must be connected to the radio via USB. Come on, Kenwood, a little bit of flash memory would not increase the price, nor decrease your profit by much. There is a graphic equalizer that helps to adjust the sound the way you want it, but it is let down by the stock Toyota speakers. Next on the list is a decent amp and some very good speakers for a nice, clean sound. Thanks Crutchfield!!

The unit works great in my 2013 Silverado. Installed it using the kit from Crutchfield and everything fit well. Was going to do the speakers first but caught this unit on sale and could not resist. It even makes the stock speakers sound decent, and I don't have the Bose system. Bluetooth, satellite radio, and steering wheel controls all work fine. There are a lot of options in the settings to customize the sound to your vehicle and your listening preferences. Some good quality replacement speakers and maybe a powered subwoofer under the back extended cab seat and I should have a great sounding system.

Huge upgrade over stock, especially if you get the iDatalink kit. Crutchfield sent me everything I needed as a kit, and it was simple as plug and play. I didn't have to cut or splice any wires (in my case). The head unit has about every feature you could want and is extremely customizable and provides a wayyyyy better sound of stock (2011 f-150 sync 1) . 6/5 radio and 6/5 customer support and user experience from Crutchfield.

It was time to upgrade the original cassette and CD deck in my 100 Series Landcruiser. I chose this on the advice of my mechanic who is a vintage Toyota whisperer. Excellent choice. Easy to install, it fit right in. Feature rich. The Apple CarPlay works perfectly and the display is bright in all but the most extreme direct midday sun. The sound is a noticeable improvement even with almost 25 year old factory speakers

Excellent deck that connects to Android Auto very quickly. Only gripe is the startup screen which doesn't go away for 10 seconds, but that's so minor, still worth 5 stars.

Good set-up overall for a 2020 Ram Promaster Camper VanTips:Pay close attention:-selecting firmware for Maestro. My computer defaulted to the 3" screen (factory radio) this caused the dreaded flashing odometer and clock issue.-The prepared harness requires some connectors to be rerouted. It's in the instructions, but they could be more clear.-After wiring and system ck, but before placing the radio in the dash, do a quick connection of ur factory radio and reset your dash clock, as more than likely you will have disconnected the battery for the initial installation. Not a problem for some but I tend to look at the panel before the radio for the time.

Receiver delivers as advertised. Wireless Carplay and Android Auto work great. Kenwood smartphone remote app works well on iPhone. Screen is bright and crisp. Installed dash outlets for USB, HDMI, and audio in. Crutchfield ordering was easy and package delivered quickly and accurately. Installation instructions included were helpful. Online chat with tech support helpful and courteous. Installed in Ford E450 Class C motorhome.

Excellent stereo.....You be glad you bought it.Even makes satellite radio palatable.Nice EQ & sound adjustments along w/ Various controls for other inputs, nice bass, sounds great, nice crisp highs too!.Also like provision for back up camera & it doesn't lose the presets if power gets interrupted for a minute.Just make sure if you run an amp, use the supplied amp trigger wire as it is a conditioned voltage for your amp.

Love the radio. A little miffed that it forces the Bluetooth on my phone to turn on even if i shut it off. I haven't hooked up all of the goodies I bought to go with it yet, but in time I will. This is a far better unit then the Kenwood 700 series radio I have in my suburban...
