The site does not do the machine justice. \n\nIssue - The machine is huge and not at all useable for anything quick or portable, Not up and down the stairs or ease room to room. The canisters are very easy to slide in and out and the best part is the front plastic which you use to flip over can now be easily removed and cleaned by just pressing two front buttons and taking it to the tub. \n\nIssue - the bottom waste water collector arm stops the machine from sucking if you move the water to fast creating a wave. Move very slow or the machines hits that pitch to let you know nothing is happening.\n\n-Great THINGS...There is a plastic flat piece to push up into the sucking plastic to unblock all the LITTLE things the vacuum picks up like hair etc. Even though it's removable with the two buttons it's still clogs because it's so small to make it look like you are sucking up a lot so it gets clogged easily, especially if you are using to clean carpet. You cannot vacuum up pet waste before you used a cleaning machine so.... I guess you have to carry this piece around because there is NO place to attached it to the machine. Bissell just told me there is no place just keep it by where to clean up the machine. So I recommend a place on the machine because it has to be used constantly for real messes not just TV. I recommended a lot of other things too like an actually scrubbing machine that doesn't take human arm wrist hand scrubbing energy or motion. Verses my dewalt drill with hard brushes bought from amazon or eBay. You know that actual scrubs the mess not just vacuums it up. So you know that the extra long hose is only a wet vacuum and you have to manually scrub so its best to do with the attachments not attached to the machine then just vacuum up the mess after scrubbing. Lots of hose to be cleaned out.

I had another carpet shampooer for 25 years. While this other shampooer works, it left much to be desired.\n\nThe Big Green has exactly the same footprint as the older carpet shampooer that it replaces. This is a big plus because there is limited closet space to put it. \n\nEven though the footprint is modest, the Big Green has superior cleaning ability due to clever engineering:\n\n* The cleaning fluid sprayer is placed between the front extraction nozzle and the brush drum. This is a clever design because this means pushing the machine forward slowly will provide time for the cleaning fluid to soak and the brush to work. It also allows the cleaning fluid to get quite close to the edge of the extraction nozzle to clean close to the edge of floor boards.\n\n* The brush drum is large and the rotation axis is horizontal. This means the brush bristle works into the carpet fabric, then out of the fabric. This is far more effectively than brushes that rotate vertically. The proof is in the dirty water: despite using a good vacuum cleaner to clean an area before shampooing, the Big Green manages to extract a lot of sand-like substance (probably cat litter) from the carpet.\n\n* The hot air of the 1200W motor is vented down toward the carpet. Other manufacturers would have invented marketing terms for this "free" carpet drying feature. Compared to all the carpet shampooers that I have used (my old machine and some commercial ones), the Big Green leaves the carpet the driest.\n\n* The extraction nozzle connects to the dirty water tank directly. This makes it easy to clean. The part on the dirty water tank is the easiest to clean. Just rinse it out with a garden hose. The part that is fixed on the machine cannot be rinsed out as easily, but it is still easily accessible. It is essential to keep this part clean after each use.\n\nI have *a lot more* to say, but apparently there is a limit of how much I can type in a review!

I spent a good month researching different carpet cleaners and matching important features with each cleaner that made the list (about nine). I focused on features like suction power, dry-time, separate tanks (clean/dirty water), weight, noise level, brush rolls, attachments, ease of cleaning, and length of cord & hose. Price was a deciding factor, but I was willing to spend a little more if it was worth it. I originally had a newer model selected but there was a great deal for the unit I ended up purchasing, and I am thrilled with my decision! Although I had my suspicions, I had no idea just how poorly my previous machine was performing until I used the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner on a large (high-traffic) rug and saw the deeply dark water in the dirty tank. I was mortified and nauseated by the sight because I cleaned that same rug the previous week with my old carpet cleaner. In fact, I cleaned it twice! For context, we are a family of 5 with 1 dog, 1 cat, and we don't wear our shoes in the house. I love having two brush rolls and the ability to switch between 3 different modes: Max/Deep/Express Clean. The spray delivered is strong, getting deep down in the carpet fibers, and the suction is strong as well. Having 2 separate tanks for clean and dirty water is awesome! My least favorite part of cleaning carpets is cleaning the machine after. This machine makes cleanup a breeze with the ease of disassembling attachments, front cover, and rolls. And the Rinse & Storage Tray is a GAME CHANGER! It cleans the undercarriage fast and with no mess. Every machine should come with one! I no longer dread cleaning my carpets or my cleaner when I'm done.

The best of the best. I have used Bissell for many years and just recently had to replace a tank on an older model. They have all been great machines. I was super impressed with customer service who sent me a replacement for free. I was so blown away that I decided to go ahead and make the purchase of a Bissell I have been eyeing for a few years. It is the Big Green Machine and some cleaning companies actually use them commercially. It was a little pricier but with a sale promotion was not much more expensive than the pet pro revolution. If you are on the fence just get it! It cleans up so much more. It has great suction and does not leave my carpet wet. It is powerful. It is a little heavier but you are just rolling it other than storage. I have severe fibro and arthritis and had zero issues moving it around. If you have pets, kids or grandkids who make messes then this is the machine you want. If you are steam cleaning often or deeply or having to make several passes then you need this machine to do the job. Just search the reviews online. I did my research. This is the best machine on the market. There are comparison videos with this machine and another brand that is a similar style. Bissell wins in all the tests swiping side by side. I am very pleased with my purchase and Bissell as a company. I highly recommend this machine. If there is a good sale you will get this powerful machine for a little more than a standard cleaner. Pretty good machine overall considering I have used a shark I also own a rug doctor. This is a lot more convenient for quick cleans in between heavy cleans so that part I do like, but a couple of cons is doesn’t hold very much water as the dirty water container. I would also like it to have a little more suction power and the other opposite downside is you run through the carpet shampoo pretty often considering you have to put a minimum 4 ounces of cleaner solution. The last downside for me personally as I wish it kept the water hot. It’s better for cleaning power. on the upside, the brushes are great. They do pick up a lot of mess. I had a bunch of hair in my machine when I did a few cleans I didn’t realize there was that much on the floor even after I had vacuumed prior to cleaning it is also very easy to take apart and clean that is also a plus. It is also not the lightest machine when it is full with the water solution in dirty water collected. So overall, I would still buy it. It’s not a bad machine, but do I think it should be a little cheaper considering the machine quality. Sure I do think it could be a little less. Other than that, if you’re gonna be doing heavy duty cleaning, I would not recommend this machine again. I believe this machine is best used for light cleaning in between heavier cleaning.

First off we have a Kirby, those that know know, and this still pulled hair up after. Set up was a snap literally, easy assembly it all snaps together. \nNow the dirty water tank does not fill like past models “to the brim” and stops under halfway full some people will complain I think it’s smart personally so there’s no risk of spill in any kind of circumstance top of the tank is a rubber stopper but seals fine…for now. \nDirty water tank is fairly easily rinsed emptied, much easier and cleaner than past models and other brands. \nNow the biggest smart thing is the cover for shampooer brushes pops right off making cleaning it a breeze, best feature about it. \nI will say I noticed no heating of water like past models but as long as it cleaned I don’t care but also wasn’t specifically checking. However you could tell with an older model we had that it heats, this one not so much. \nAlso seemed more efficient with water than past models. Great product so far can’t speak on longevity but works great out the box.

I purchased this product because my old one finally died. I love the new design where the water tank and soap are all in one and separate from the dirty water tank. I also love that you can easily remove the front plate of the machine to remove pet hair to prevent clogging. I read other reviews that complained of leaking, but I did not have that problem as long as the tank is situated properly. I have 2 complaints; when you use the attachment to clean upholstery the brushes keep rolling on the carpet. I would like to see that the brushes don't move when the attachment is in play. The second complaint is it did not come with the attachment to clean the stairs. We tore the box apart and it was not to be found. One more thing, I love the flat gray plastic tool that was included to remove hair from the brush and cover plate.

This carpet cleaner worked wonders in my home. It got out stains that had been buried in my carpet and rug for over a year. The reasons I gave it 4 stars are 1. It is very heavy and bulky to carry around and 2. It took my carpet forever to dry, which is opposite of what it says. It took one room almost 2 full days to dry with the fan on. But, I did use the deep clean switch which puts more water out. Still, 2 days is a long time. Take a look at this rug pic. You can see the back left corner section hasn't been cleaned yet. That shows how well it got out dirt. The other photos are a hallway with multiple spots before and then the after. Get ready to be disgusted at how dirty rugs and carpets are, and we even hired a pro company to clean everything about 18 months ago.

I bought this Shark CarpetXpert because I just bought a home with carpet from the 80s, in gross shape to be honest. The carpet was stiff under your feet, after ONE use of this cleaner the carpet already felt so much better. It sucks up dirt deep in the carpet! It's lightweight, easy to use. Has lights that flash to let you know when something is wrong, or when the dirty tank needs empty. I love the quick dry feature, it puts it in a sucking mode only so that you can go over the carpet without putting more solution out. My only problem so far is that twice it splattered dirt on my walls, could be user error, or like I said my carpets are gross so it's a lot of dirt. But overall I love this carpet cleaner!

Blown away. We always rent carpet cleaners. This blows the rentals away and is under $300. We did a fully carpeted room and several large rugs. Could not believe how much dog hair it pulled even though we vacuumed first, and dirt and stains it made vanish. Everything looks new. All the rugs dried quickly and never felt soaked like rentals. \n\n Well worth the investment. \n\nEasy to assemble, somewhat easy to clean. \n\nOnly issue is cleaning inside the nozzle. They provide a flexible plastic “tool” to get between the plastic, but it's not really good at getting all the dog hair out. \n\nAlso, something to note. If you have a lot of dog hair, the drain container will get clogged with all the hair before it's full with liquid. No big deal, just need to drain it more often than filling in new solution.

I'm extremely happy with the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro. It does an amazing job deep cleaning my carpets and pulling up dirt I didn't even realize was there. It worked great on spots and stains, especially in high-traffic areas where my pets spend the most time.\n\nThe machine is also very easy when it comes to filling the water tank, and I like that it's simple to remove and refill without making a mess. The suction power is strong and really lifts dirt out of the carpet, leaving it looking refreshed and clean.\n\nI also love using the attachments for stairs and upholstery. This machine is a lifesaver! Or at least a carpet and upholstery saver! In our home, this machine is a very necessary and beloved piece of 'equipment', who we see as more of a family member. We affectionately call her "little sister.". I recently purchased this one as my second unit of this same model, but it has tiny upgrades that make it even better, like a quieter motor! I have yet to find any stain that she and I can't remove. We are definitely effective 'partners in grime'. If you have messy kids or pets who are prone to tinkle accidents on your carpet, you need this shampooer. It's super simple to operate, reliable, affordable, and you won't be disappointed! We put together the carpet cleaner (which was extremely easy to do) and had to use it the next day. Paint had not only peed, he also pooed. With our previous carpet cleaner (Hoover), we would have to go over the poo stain many times before it was kinda clean. Suction is good. \n\nI have yet to see any evidence of the name "Pro-HEAT". No heat or steam noted during use. Moisture on Floor is cold, unless I use Hot water with the cleaning formulation. I noted the same with my first one located at my other home.\n\nThe two tank system is superior to other brands/models that I have previously used and very convenient.\n\nI actually use this on tile on occasions, but the cleaning brush does not lower nor is it low enough to be efficiently used unless on places a foot over the brush area and lightly pushes down while moving the machine backwards.

Loved this Carpet Cleaner! I'm 9 months pregnant and it was very easy to use. Not heavy at all. Love the trigger to actually release the hot water. I can keep going over a spot until I see the water not coming out of the carpet anymore! I am so glad I bought it right of the Bissell site as well so I was able to get all the attachments! I also shampooed my car! The attachments are really easy to use and put together. And the storage caddy is such a great feature to clean the rollers after use. I was a bit confused when I lost suction the first time but I realized that was a feature letting me know "time to empty the dirty water." Lighter and easier to use than the old model. Works MUCH better. I like that all of the attachments and hose come with a storage bag. Much better than carrying all of that weight and bulk around with you when you do not need it. Plus, the attachments were always falling off of their storage locations on the old model. The solution and dirty water tanks are very easy to remove and fill/empty respectively. And yes, I have 2 labradoodles. This carpet cleaner is a must for any pet owner with carpets. Hand tools work great too.

This machine is better than i thought. I have 3 dogs. there are piddle spots and also vomit on the carpet. Easy to put together. the instructions are simple to use. Very easy to clean. it shows the dirt and water being extracted. There was not chance of it being clogged. I was able to clean it out in between shampooing areas. the carpets were nearly dry after using it. I used a blue light before and after. not a trace of pet stains after i used the Bissell. the hand held tools worked great on my mattress and my ottoman. I cannot say enough. my house smells better. It was a good investment verses getting carpets cleaned every 3 - 6 months. I wished I recorded it. I will next time I use it.

I have some carpet stains that keep coming back from pets and it took them right out. I started with a small patch of carpet and the difference between the dingy and clean carpet was very satisfying. It has good suction, and the carpet was mostly dry next day. Only con I'd say is due to my carpet type, I have to have the carpet cleaner locked in the rest position and pull it back by the pull handle to extract all the water I can from the carpet.

This is the best machine I've ever had! After using several shampooers on this rug that we've only had for three months. It has been the most grueling process with kids and animals inside the house to try to get it back to white again. It's going to take a few times of letting it dry and going back and doing it again, but if you get the oxy and then also the deep clean pet, it brings out everything. The water is absolutely disgusting but with constant repeated treatment the water is a lot clearer the tank is smaller than what I'm used to, but I understand why the tank is small. It’s a smart idea to make sure that the inside components do not get completely caked.

I spent a week researching carpet cleaners. This was %232 on my list. I purchased it because the reviews were awesome. Once I got it home and used it I wasn't disappointed in the least. The power button is in an awkward spot, but nothing I can't get used to. The cord is extra long.. thank you Bissell! It's loud.. like annoyingly loud. But listen… I've never seen a carpet cleaner pick up so much water. Both tanks are on the small side. It feels like I can't get much done between dumping and refilling them. However, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Short version: \nGood: Carpet came decently clean\nBad: Weight distibution, carpet stayed too wet, handheld tools USELESS.\n\nLong version:\nI had an older Bissel pro heat that I bought for about the same price around 8 years ago. Still works but I lost the plastic piece off the front and they don't seem to make them anymore because the new ones have a slightly different design. The new design is worse in every way. The old one had the weight of the water on the base, this one has it completely on the handle. It did clean my carpet quite a bit, so did a decent job there. The water didn't stay warm at all vs the old one where walking bear foot behind it, it would stay slightly warm. I've only done one room over and over for probably close to an hour because it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time because I kept hoping I would find the $20 piece to my old one so I didn't have to spend $200 for a new one. Out of every gallon of water I would put down, I'd only have a bit under a half gallon in the dirty water. The carpet stayed far too wet. I went over it again and again spraying alot of water but also doing many dry runs. Ended up taking ~12 hours for the carpet to dry. \n\nOne of the main features I wanted this for was cleaning my couch. Have 3 long fur dogs that don't shed alot, but they do leave some hair around. The handheld is USELESS. The dry vacuum part of it has almost no suction and a design that lets air escape so it can't even pick up dog hair. The wet one is almost just as bad and once you get it to spraying some water, it doesn't vacuum it up at all. The only good part about it was the solid brush part, it actually collected the hair and I could pull out hairballs but there are plenty of products that do this better. \n\nI don't have experiences with other brands, but this was feels like quite the bust.

I just used my new Bissell Pro heat 2x Revolution pet pro carpet cleaner. Im very happy with the carpet cleaner itself but so impressed how clean it got my carpet. Ive only used Bissell carpet cleaners throughout the years and never had any issues. They just get old and heavily used so i replace them with a newer , better model.\nThe suction is the best ever. The dual rollers are great. Im so happy you can take the cover off over the rollers for easy cleaning. That was always a downfall on all my older ones. The only complaint is the water/solution seems to empty quick. So i felt like i was constantly refilling it. Other than that, I love it.

My Yorkiepoo was extremely ill. She had it coming out of both ends... my poor baby. Parts of my carpet looked like a crime scene. Eventhough it says dont use pre-treatmemt we did. We ised the Resolve extra strength, let it sit for 10 min, used a scrub brush to agitate the soiled areas and then slowly cleaned the carpets. First pass over i used solution, the second pass over i used hit water only. My carpets look brand new. Its unbelievable. We saved 1500.00... that was the quite from the carpet cleaners to do pre treat, spot removal, disinfect and deodorizer. I purchasing another one as a back up. Extremely easy to use. Just take your time.

Got a new puppy, then my carpet turned brown, grosse and stinky. Rented shampooers and professional carpet cleaning did not work. When I first used this carpet shampooer, I could not believe the incredible cleaning power this thing had. It cleaned the carpet stains, got rid of the oder and it was worth every penny. Bought this due to adopting two dogs from the SPCA and not sure how well they were potty trained. They had a few accidents. Used this maybe 3 times and had it less than a year and the belt for the brushes broke. I have been trying to get a replacement for it and getting the run around. Also bought the extra warranty and can't get anywhere with that either. Pretty upset spending that much money on it to not be able to even use it. Now have to go buy another one.

In the past, I've always rented steam cleaners for my carpets. I took the plunge and purchased the Bissell. It does a very good job on the carpets - equal or better than the ones I've rented in the past. Gave it four stars because I found the upholstery attachment to be less effective. It puts out too much water, leaving water spots on the furniture. I solved this by using a spray bottle to mist the furniture and then the attachment to withdraw it.

I love this carpet cleaner. It picks up dirt and hair. Cleans pet stains. The two tanks are perfect. I have had another Bissell and this one The Pet Pro heat X2 is by far better. I also have the green machine. Now that I have this one, I probably will only use it. The only change is I wish the cord was longer. The cleaning shot is useless. I read that in another review and I agree. The hand held part for upholstery works well but I wish the water dispersed differently.The picture shows a small room that was done a couple weeks ago ago! Ewe!
