The perfect fridge if you're looking for something: economic, aesthetically pleasing, spacious, and functional. \n\nFirst, the exterior design is sleek, you've got doors that could be adjusted to open in both directions and pocket handles that give it that more lux feel. \n\nEconomic and spacious: The bottom freezer offers two racks, one fit for ice storage, ice cream etc. as well as a deeper one for your common freezer items. There are three top shelves available, with a good amount of depth that can fit an average of 6+ regularly sized tupperware from each side. The side shelves are also large, and spacious enough that you're able to delegate other items to fit in those shelves instead of clogging up ample space in the main shelves! In just a span of 4 weeks, the additional fridge in our 1300sq ft home has only added about $20 on the bill, and yes, it's on 24/7.\n\nFunctional: The main shelvings are adjustable, and the "vegetable drawers" can easily be converted into deli storage as it's deep enough to hold plenty. The bottom freezer handle and the pocket handle are perfectly adjacent to each other, making both sides of the fridge easier to access, especially when you're on the go and cooking. \n\nWe've had this for nearly a month now, and everything, including delivery, was seamless and professional. Excellent Refrigerator!!!\nMy wife and I were in the market for a new refrigerator because our Maytag refrigerator was on its way out (freezer to warm and refrigerator too cold). I looked at a lot of 18 cubic ft. refrigerators that were of the top freezer configuration and they either looked cheap or had bad storage solutions.\n\nI started looking at refrigerator over freezer units and narrowed it down to this Insignia and a Samsung which was $300 more. The Samsung had a lot of great features, but way more than what I required. The two biggest items I required were separate temperature control for freezer versus refrigerator and a decent storage system and this unit checked both boxes.\n\nSo we’ve had this unit for three weeks now it is super cold in the freezer and the proper temperature in the refrigerator. It’s very quiet except for when you first get it and turn it on. Other people have commented that it makes gurgling sounds in the walls of the refrigerator, but that is only during your very first start up and goes away once it gets cold and have never heard it again.\n\nIn summary my wife and I love the ways this refrigerator works as well as it looks, great product, Best Buy and Insignia!

This refrigerator makes us so happy. We have had a side by side since we moved into our house over 20 years ago and we had been looking at a possible replacement of the French door refrigerator with bottom freezer but never could decide because the ice feature always took up to much space and we don't have an existing water line for it. Then our old refrigerator decided it was time to retire and no longer wanted to work and my sister had received an alert from Best Buy with this refrigerator. Only thing was that we could not find a Best Buy that had a floor model. So we checked out the Top Freezer version and was pleased with the exterior color/finish and after reading the positive reviews decided to give it a go. Christmas gift from my sister and mom and we could not be happier!

I always opt for no ice marker / water for my rental units. Just don't like to deal with potential water leaks etc.. This fridge is very nice. It's not overly big nor is it too small. It's like just the right size for 2-4 people household. I bought this to replace an old Samsung fridge that kept breaking on me and costing me endless amount of money in repairs. My tenant really enjoys this fridge and she particular like the layout and functionality. It looks very elegant and sleek also. Overall, I would probably continue to buy this fridge for future rental units. It just too good and the price is right.

I recently purchased this fridge because it was a close match in size to my old broken fridge and had pull our bottom freezer. Ill be honest and say i didnt expect much because of the low price and im not personally familiar with insignia products. I have been extremely impressed with its performance so far.
Its practically cavernous with effective modular storage on shelves, interior of the door and even 2 drawers in the freezer.
Its a simple design without touchscreens water and ice dispenser etc. It does have the settings for the veggie drawers and the expected temperature settings.

We love the frig on top, freezer on the bottom design. So much easier on the back. Our space mandates a smaller refrigerator and this handleless frig is beautiful and sleek. The item was in stock and we got a pretty fast delivery, unfortunately that refrigerator was damaged (see photo) and we received a replacement 3 days later. The replacement has worked well for the first several weeks. The refrigerator at first was very quiet, however in the last week it has started making strange crazy loud slurping/gurgling sounds when either the top or freezer is first closed. I've checked the Troubleshooting section, but this type of noice is not mentioned. We will be calling support to come out and inspect it. For that reason alone, I would not recommend this refrigerator at this time. I will update this review after a technician has come out to evaluate.

This is a good refrigerator with incorrect instructions to reverse door swing. Please see the included photo. Contrary to what the instructions say, there is no left-facing middle hinge in the accessory bag. Instead, use the same middle hinge currently on the refrigerator. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the pin, and install it on the opposite side of the hinge. The middle hinge can now be installed on the left side of the refrigerator.
Customer support was not able to help and instead offered to send me a new refrigerator. This was not necessary. Good luck!

I’m loving this refrigerator. I had to replace an LG side by side after only 4 years, but their prices are out of my budget. While this doesn’t have ice or water dispensers this refrigerator it fit my budget. Loving the pull out freezer drawers. Even in my Florida weather, it was ready for me to add ice cube trays in a few hours.. I purchased a 5 year service plan with it, for the peace of mind; that gives me 6 years of protection.

The design of this Insignia refrigerator is perfect. The inside is roomy and deep…something my old refrigerator was not. Tons of door storage for all condiments, juices and butter. The design of the meat/fruit drawers make storage easier because there isn’t a slant where it cuts off storage space. Everything stays nice and fresh. The freezer is 2 drawers. Very large drawers that fit meats, frozen meals and vegetables comfortably.

Bought this for my parents to replace a 20+ year old fridge. Their kitchen is designed for a smaller sized fridge, and this fit the bill. So far, the fridge seems to be working great. Unfortunately, after unboxing, they discovered that two of the grooves that the shelves sit on were damaged. The damaged grooves can still support the shelf (and there are others upon which the shelf can be placed), but the damage is an eyesore, at least to me. I offered to contact Best Buy to return/exchange the fridge, but my folks didn't want to go through the hassle of repacking the fridge and taking it back to Best Buy as instructed by the warranty.

Love having the freezer on the bottom. Having the fridge up top puts everything at my fingertips without having to bend over. So far it cools well and is relatively quiet. If you get the ice maker, it’s a bit of a chore to install. It only came with tubes for top mount fridges. I was able to modify the fill tube to make it work. It does make a lot of ice as well.

Was so pleased to find this fridge with bottom freezer and no ice maker it’s the perfect replacement for my former fridge. For 18 Cu Ft, it feels much roomier. The glass shelves are easy to clean. The bottom freezer with the huge drawer holds larger items than my old unit with the ice maker. The price was great, and delivery and installation were excellent.

This fridge runs super hot. If you live in a very cold place, this might be good bc it radiates heat off of the sides. It's often in the 90's (hottest I've clocked it as 98 degrees), always at least in the 70's but usually in the 80's.
I'm writing this while requesting a service appt for my 3 week old fridge. It has taken 45 minutes to simply schedule the appt. No trouble shooting, just scheduling. 45 min to get a 12 hour repair window that's two weeks out. Fun.
If you do live in Antarctica and decide to get, it comes with a right side hinge and it's super hard to switch it. The shelves are oddly spaced so if you want to have a gallon of milk, you can only use two shelves. Even then you can either put the milk on the shelf that drawers fit into and have about a half inch of space btwn the milk and the next shelf (so it's hard to get in/out especially when the jug is full). Or, you could lower the middle shelf but then you have to lift the gallon of milk to shoulder height to get it in/out (also not idea when the jug is full). It's just a very weird set up.

When shopping for a new fridge, we decided not to do a side by side because of lack of space in those style of fridges but loved the idea of the freezer on bottom. This fridge is spacious and looks sleek on the outside. My only complaint is that it looks unfinished on the back inside and you can even see styrofoam on through the gaps in the holes.
