The washer does an excellent job at what it's supposed to do; it cleans the clothes completely and quickly. However, my beef is with the labeling on the control panel. Any bit of detergent that gets on it will dissolve the paint completely. Even a permanent marker comes off. It appears that whatever is under the paint/marker isn't something paint or markers can adhere to (maybe they need to use that coating on the walls of bathroom stalls...).\n\nWhat I ended up doing was purchasing a label maker. I'm hoping once I clean the all the paint off the labels would stick.\n\nHowever my preferred solution would be for LG to replace the control panel cover. I'd want to spray it with a clear coat first tho. But even with the extended warranty, if that's covered it's be only covered to 50% and quite frankly this isn't something the owner should be expected to pay for.

After now having this washer for 3 weeks I can honestly say I wish I had never bought it. First off I made the mistake of buying it online and did not find out until AFTER receiving it that you can not return ANYTHING purchased online, so no matter how much I dislike it I'm stuck with it. Secondly, the supposed "load sensor" is a joke, no matter how much I put in the machine the water doesn't even come close to covering the clothes unless I hit the deep fill button. The enclosed photo had 7 shirts and 2 pairs of men's shorts and there's barely any water in it. I'm curious if this is intentional so that it will kill the motor sooner necessitating replacing the machine sooner. And hopefully you have all day to do a weeks worth of laundry as the normal cycle takes an entire hour to finish. Also, I wanted the impeller not the agitator as I have large towels and blankets that I need to wash and they get knotted up around the agitator but on the website if you want the monochrome grey it switches it from impeller to agitator and it's so subtle that if your not looking right at it you won't notice, which is what happened to us, we wanted the impeller in gray but if you click on the grey it switches to agitator. When we went in the store the wonderful woman who helped us buy a dishwasher told us that if she had known we were thinking about buying another appliance she would have warned us NOT to use the website as it is very deceptive and that you can't return anything you purchase on it. Great to know for the future. The only redeeming aspect of this whole experience is that it was on sale when we purchased it because if I had paid the almost $1,000 they usually charge for it I definitely would be suing Home Depot if I couldn't have returned it.

Decent impeller washer. Not obvious how to change water TEMP and levels but it can be done. Have to download full manual online.\r\n\r\nCONS:\r\n- No full manual printed, missing wash cycles and how to change temperature and water levels. \r\n- No countdown timer, some cycles take a really long time, Deep Wash over an hour with Deep Fill. \r\n- Impeller is pretty mellow even on heaviest setting.\r\n- Only one main dial, other options selected through two buttons that don't look like buttons.\r\n- No need new hoses.

The heavy duty cycle is best for my husbands work clothes(blue collar) and normal cycle works best for me & my sons clothes. The pods do not work with this washer they don’t dissolve all the way. Shame on me. I didn't even realize that it is missing a permanent press/wrinkle free setting. And I thought I did such extensive research before making the purchase. Don't think I will ever be completely satisfied with any make/model as the new washers all seem to have the same water level restriction. I always have to put it on Deep Fill to ensure all the clothes (even if it's a small load) are wet and thoroughly washed. It's quiet. Clothes come out clean (when Deep Fill is used). As other users have found, the dishwasher does not add enough water to cover the clothes on the normal cycle. If I use deep washer bedding, the washer fills to the very brim and that\u2019s a waste of water. My particular machine does not have an add water feature. Also, the soap dispenser cup fills with water and it never drains. So I\u2019m left with nearly a cup of water sitting in the machine after a cycle. There\u2019s no easy way to remove the container and dump the water. It ends up dumping into the bottom of the basket, which can contribute to mold. It also makes a strong chugging sound, even when the load is still in water is draining. It\u2019s almost like a recording so we feel the washing machine is doing a vigorous job. I\u2019d look for another washer if I were to do it over again. no problems with the dryer.

I bought this washer about a month ago. It took me a few loads to get to where I knew how to get water at tleast up to the top of my clothes. I use the "Heavy Duty" setting to do this. Normal barely covered the bottom of the washer so forget that idiotic setting altogether!!! The spin cycle is VERY fast and I've found I don't need to dry as long as I used to with my old 30ish year washer that finally gave out.

After my unit’s original washer and dryer gave out, I needed a new washer/dryer on a budget. LG is a decent product, no issues with functionality. The only oddity is that the lettering, power, and start button icons wore off on the washer after the first few months. I’ve labeled them with tape and Sharpie but hopefully that’s the only issue I encounter.

I like this washer so far. The pros are that it is quiet, has a good balancing system, and you can wash a lot in one load. The cons are I dislike the normal setting, just not enough water to properly wash the clothes. So I have learned to use the Heavy Duty or the Deepwash. The washer is extremely quiet when it runs. Unlike our old washer, it has a self balancing feature. That means if it can't balance itself, it won't run. The Washer also has a self Diagnostic feature. You can use with your cell phone without Wi-Fi.
That's really useful to keep track of the condition of your washer.

This washer is doing everything that we wanted it to do. Set up was an absolute breeze. The controls are very simple and easy to work with. I’m really happy with no longer having to worry about water level. This is a great product at a reasonable price. The little jingle at the end is great too.

Just bought this washer, and although it has some great features. I actually timed a load of 12 bath towels from start to finish, and it took 1 hour and 8 minutes to wash, rinse and spin!!!! The spin cycle was at least 10 minutes!!!! That’s a long time for 1 load in my opinion.

This washing machine really gives me more options than my previous washing machine because this one gives me the option to add 2 additional rinses to a cycle for when im washing things that are heavily soiled & required more detergent. I love that it also has the "deep fill" feature where it allows me to add more water before starting the regular cycle. There is even a "delay wash" feature. Now the machine itself is sleek looking with a glass window at the top and controls are easy to read. It came with so much instructions & tips for usage that i feel confident this machine will serve my family well that -im really going to enjoy using this machine! The drum with agitator is large enough for winter bedding with the agitator moving the clothing from top to bottom. I have no complaints with this washing machine and would highly recommend this one.

The see through lid has made it possible to see that the water level for normal or small loads is not high enough to cover the clothes. It only comes up to about halfway of the load. I bought this a month ago and it operates much better than our old Admiral washer. Very quiet operation, agitator, and spinning. Self balancing itself and load testing before it starts is a smart feature. Love the glass top and watching the cycles run as well as the many cycle options you can choose from. I looked underneath the top lid at bleach dispenser and the body construction and honestly it has a very good thick paint coating done, that's a plus! Many other brands will rust out in certain points, I don't see it happening on the LG. I also like how powerful the inlet valves and pump appear to perform, this washer drains fairly quick while also being very quiet. No leaks or annoying sounds. Overall for the price, warranty, design, and support it's a good washer.
