The pictures do not do this dress justice. You have to try it on to see just how stunning it is. I got it in purple and will be wearing it the night before my elopement in Maui (though I was tempted to wear it as my wedding dress). This dress gets advertised as a more matronly dress, but it actually has a youthful princess look to it as well. I'm 32 and look much younger than my age, and I love this dress. If you want to look stunning, feel comfortable, in a dress that's not too revealing, you should try this one. It does run big so you may have to get size or two below what you're used to getting. I'm 5'7 and 149 pounds, curvy, and got a size 6.

This is THE dress...mother of groom in September. Had ordered size 18, it fit but sleeves a little too short for my taste, plus the length was perfect so no extra fabric to work with to add length to sleeves. Reordered in size 16W. Fit was perfect....needed to take about 4 inches off of length which gave fabric to work with on the sleeves. Loved the fabric!!!! If you can get past sleeves....it is great choice. Navy color, fabric is very rich looking. Great service from Nordstrom’s....needed to return 5 other dresses before I decided to try this “short” sleeve number....they could not have been more gracious with the returns!!!!

I love love love this dress! At first I was hesitant because the reviews were not good. However I purchased the dress anyway and boy was I glad I did. I am larger bust with a small spare tire around the middle. This dress hid all of it. I felt like a million bucks! It also has such a great wow factor. Everyone loved it and I felt so pretty and never self conscious. I wear a true size 20w so I purchased a 20w. It fit me excellent!!!

I love this dress. It is elegant, lightweight, and sparkly. I wore a beautiful diamond necklace that followed the shape of the neckline with dangled earrings and it looked great with the eggplant color. I am 5’4 tall and I did have to shorten the hem, but it was easy since it was one piece of material. It was comfortable since it has some stretch to it, but it still showed off my curves (in a good way). Best of all, I felt young in it!

Beautiful dress with classic, elegant look that was perfect for a black tie event I attended. I’m 5‘4“, 130 lbs. and bought size 6P. The fit was perfect and very comfortable. Not tight at all but I felt slim in it. The length was just right for wearing my ballet flats with 1 inch heels; any higher heels and the dress might have been too short. Very pleased with this purchase!

This is a gorgeous dress! The color is stunning (it is deeper than pictured) and the scattered, iridescent sequins give it just a touch of sparkle! It comes in navy, too, but I am partial to the eggplant. It is a very simple style and the rosettes are really what makes it stand out in a crowd. It is also very comfortable! I would highly recommend – this dress won’t disappoint!

This dress REALLY is amazing! I ordered five other dresses for my daughter's wedding and sent them all back until this one! Say yes to this dress! The Blue-Purple is a beautiful dark periwinkle. I went up a size, and it pulls right over my head and flows like I'm Cinderella. SO comfortable for us 50+ 5'4" moms.

This dress is better in person than in the picture. Just enough detail and beading. I am on the shorter side of petite - just 5' and it does not need to be hemmed with 3" heels. So if you are taller, you may need to buy a regular size, not petite. Would love it down one size, but unavailable.

This is a beautiful dress. I am 5’2 and weigh 127 and it fit perfectly with a normal height heel. (Size 6P) It’s fitted just enough to be flattering and slimming without showing too much! My husband loves how it looks. Perfect for my son’s wedding.

Found the perfect mother-of-the-groom dress. Comfortable, very pretty without being over the top. Love the embellishment on the dress and the scattering of a few sequins to give it just a little bit of glamour.

This is a beautiful gown and very flattering and comfortable with good coverage. The eggplant color is beautiful! It does run 2 sizes too big though.

Beautiful dress that fit well and is well made.

The dress is so elegant and fits very well. I will definitely give the rating of the dress what it deserves. Ordered two sizes off line to see which one fit the best. Took both dresses to Dillards in Columbia SC. When returning found out one of the sizes was reduced tremendously. I wasn't allowed by policy and the manager by the name of Nikki to get a price reduction. Was told the dress had to be held 24 hours, ask Nikki if I could come back to pick up the dress the next day at the reduced price. Talking very loud and rude in front of customers she told me she didn't know when the dress would be put back on the floor, she was busy. Leaving, I went by to pick up my shoes and ask the sales lady to check the price in the system , it rang up at the discounted price, but… it wouldn't allocate when placing the order. Now, I'm with no dress and at the mercy of this woman putting the dress back on the floor for my grandson's wedding. Called for a week and was told the dress was still in Nikki's office. I then ordered a second dress on line at the regular price, took three days to get to me. Had to take the other size back, there was the dress for the reduced on the rack a week later. I purchased it, again, I brought back the second dress I had ordered, leaving this dress to go back on the sales rack at the reduced price . This cost Dillard's a huge loss of over 300 dollars because this unprofessional manager wasn't looking out for her company and definitely not the customer. Moving forward I won't be dealing with Dillard's with the way I was treated at this location. I feel very discriminated, coming from Arkansas I feel like this would have never happened in Little Rock. Nikkie's regional manager needs to take a real good look at this woman that has been given the title of a manger. Feeling very discriminated in SC .

This dress is much cuter in person than the pictures online showed it. I originally bypassed it looking at the pictures online but then saw one in the store and tried it on. It fit so well and looked extremely flattering on! I am super happy with this dress. I am around 5'4" and weigh around 150lbs; I bought a size 6 and it fits perfect. Even my friends said "Wow! That's a nice dress!" when they saw me wearing it. I must be shorter than the model in the pictures because the length of the dress trails on the floor a bit for me creating a little train effect. Overall, a great dress.

I wore this dress to my daughters wedding. The picture doesn't show how Loca it is in the front if you are larger breasted as the model clearly isn't so it does not close as high up as the picture shows so I had to Velcro insert a satin material that matched the tule on the bottom part of the dress and it was a perfect hit. Also, I'm only 5 foot five so it actually had about 6 inches of a train that followed me in the back. It's a beautiful dress and very comfortable.

Very comfortable modest coverage gown; I wished it came with a coordinating cardigan or shawl. You may need a special bra or not; the dress is padded in the chest area but, no support. Pantyhoserie with midriff/tummy control really makes the elegant/modest-sexy look but, the material is thick enough to go commando! It's a taupy-earthy, grey color which, is hard to match accessories with; I went with black accessories and I think soft silver fabrics would be okay too.

I just bought this for my daughter's Miami wedding in September. I'm 5' 10" and the length is nice, it fits true to size and the sage color is very pretty. It's more lightweight than some of the dresses I tried on and I don't want to melt in the Miami heat so this is a much better option. I like the shear overlay, hides a 65 yr olds arms. 😂. It will look nice with silver sandals and silver blingy jewelry.

Love it!!! I chose this dress to wear to my daughter's wedding. It is so beautiful. I needed no alterations. I had been looking at this dress online for months and kept putting off ordering it and then I went to Dillard's to return another dress I had ordered online and this dress just happened to be there. I tried it on and the search for my mother of the bride dress was over. 😊

Love the fit,color and material of the dress. The only reason I did not rate five star because I did noticed some shedding of the glitter sequence from the dress when I tried it on. I need to have the length altered because I need to wear dressy flats with the outfit. I'm asking the seamtress is there something that can be done or sprayed on the dress to stop the noticeable shedding of the glitter sequence. Maybe cleaning before I wear will help!

My daughters wedding is not for a year but in a simple google search for Gold Mother of the Bride dress this photo came up and I loved the style. I ordered it and simply love everything about it, the fabric is beautiful and light, perfect for our Texas June wedding. The style is very flattering and the color is beautiful. Beautiful blue fabric & beading. Love the 3/4 sleeves. Ordered petite in size larger than I normally wear thinking hem might not be too long. Mistake. Too big in shoulders & overall. Would have reordered in correct size & kept but found something I liked better. Was a strong contender in my search for the right dress.

I bought the dress for my son's early September wedding. It does have a few sequins, but not too much, just enough to give the mother of the groom a little pizzaz! Having purchased six dresses and returned most, this dress will work perfectly for a wedding in the mountains. I'm happy my search is over!

This is a beautiful dress, which I shall wear to my niece's wedding next month. I did need to buy a slip to wear under it, as the skirt is very slightly translucent. Were the wedding not out of doors in the late afternoon, with the sun close to the horizon, I do not think that it would be a problem.
