[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Capacity is great. It took a while to figure it out.\nIt takes longer per load than normal separate washer and dryer units. It wouldn’t be effective for a large family, but it’s perfect for a small household. Clothes don’t dry thoroughly. Most times I need to use the ‘more dry’ feature.\nThings like sheets come out very wrinkled. I have used the de wrinkle feature with some success. I’m must say the it makes a lot of noise - some of them alarming to a new owner.\nBut I assume they’re all normal sounds. There is a slight rubbery smell while drying.\nAll in all, the technology has come a long way since the 50’s when a neighbor had an early model of one of the first all-in-one washer/dryer units. She invited all the neighbors over to watch it! I was about 8 years old, and now here I am, 75, which some of my friends have watched mine do its thing. Haha!\nAll in all I like it a lot. Still getting used to it after a little more than a month.\nLearning something new with each use.

First the negative:\nIt is HUGE and very HEAVY so if you move be ready. Dimensions are as large a traditional dimensions planned for. I mean it fits like a cork in a bottle so measure carefully and plan including doorways. It's a rich man's toy. You have one machine pulling double duty so nomore drying while the other load is in the dryer so your laundry will take twice as long unless you buy 2 or 3 machines. If I were and and healthy starting a family I would have 3.\n\nNow the positives\nIt was dumb luck I could afford such a luxury living on a disability check but boy am I happy I splurged. Having no legs its a treat not having to get up till everything is done. Being an old timer I'm used to top load and soaking clothes mid cycle if extra dirty. No problem here this machine will get it clean without soaking. It does take time learning all the options and cycles but once you do you will then understand the power at your fingertips. My favorite is the "dewrinkle". I put my sheets through that and only need to touch them up with the iron. How I wish I had that when I wore white dress shirts for work. I just installed the latest software update and am now enjoying the new "pet" cycle. I used the machine for nearly a year till this was available and was happy with how well the machine pulled out dog hair. The new cycle gets it that much better. It is a pre cycle that fluffy your load blowing out the hair. I have short hairs so 15 minutes works well but you can bump it up to 60 minutes by 15 minute increments. How I wish I had that cycle when I owned my chocolate lab Godiva. I'm certain I will continue to learn more as I use the machine. It was an expensive investment but you earn a lot back through its efficiency and ease on your time. Over 11 months I never had any issues other than load balancing. You need to make certain it sits rock solid or the AI system will throw an error code. So the machine helps you not only clean your laundry but look after maintenance. Air filter reminders and even reminders to run its self clean cycle. It's amazing how advanced the machine is and we'll worth the investment. I'm so happy I bought mine.

Not a machine for every household. I do at least 8-10 loads of laundry every 5 days as I have pre teen and teenage kids in my household. The machine has positives and negatives. It's compact. Uses the same voltage as any other outlet in the house, yes you don't need the extra power with this plug. Now some of the things you need to get use too. It's moist in there after a complete wash and air circulated drying. So it's best to avoid wrinkling by immediately taking out your shirts and pants to fluff and fold or hang. If you are at times like me and unable to watch the washer/dryer, you may find yourself using the wrinkle release button A LOT when you do get back to it. So if your not folding right away, this could be a pain. To save me some time, I will wash towels overnight since they don't wrinkle as bad as clothing.\nYou can only do one load at a time. It washes and dries so it's an average of 2-3 1/2 hours depending on the heaviness of the load and if it's a towel or sheets drying which could take longer than the average load drying time. The vent, I clean it religiously after each wash/dry however, you have to replace the filter vent and sponge like in 3 months not 6. Make sure to use the included brushes to take out all the lint in that compartment. It's a lot more maintenance and a lint filled dust filled laundry room. It does dribble water at the end when I open the door and little things like underwear and socks get stuck in the rubber seal area, so those might therefore not dry completely. You might get some partially wet clothing still. And the machine unit shakes a lot. So knowing all this now, if I could do it all over again, I would have just kept my old washer and seperate dryer. Now if I were still a bachelor or bachelorette, no brainer, this is nice and compact. My husband offered to put a second one next to it or put one in the bedroom upstairs but no, I don't plan to do laundry for the rest of my life, once's the kiddos are off to college which is just 2-6 years, I'm gonna assume the load will decrease in usage and having 2 of these units just doesn't make sense to me. Ok that's my honest review from this Stay at Home Mom. Best of luck

It has exceeded our expectations.\n\nOne thing I highly recommend is connecting the machine to your home Wi-Fi. GE has already released a software update that added a great new feature. Previously, you had to press the De-Wrinkle button to turn on the interior drum light during a cycle. Now, after the update, touching any button during a cycle automatically lights up the inside of the drum, making it much easier to check on your laundry.\n\nThe GE SmartHQ app is another big plus. It sends complete cycle notifications directly to your phone, lets you monitor the machine remotely, and provides helpful maintenance reminders. It also links to easy-to-follow YouTube videos that show exactly how to clean the lint filter and other areas needed for the dryer function. That makes maintenance simple and helps keep the machine performing at its best.\n\nOther things we’ve really appreciated:\n\n* Quiet operation.\n* No need to transfer clothes from washer to dryer.\n* Excellent washing performance.\n* Efficient heat-pump drying with no outside vent required.\n* Large capacity that easily handles our king-size bedding.\n* Automatic detergent dispensing is a real convenience.\n* The app and software updates continue to improve the machine over time.\n\nThis has honestly been one of the best appliance purchases we’ve made. Overall I am very impressed with this washer/dryer combo. I did my research, read the reviews and compared machine to other brands some friends have. Don’t get taken back by the time indicated to complete your laundry. Unlike conventional machines, these new machines have sensors that continuously monitor your wash. Interesting reading. Large capacity, no problem washing a queen size comforter. The cloths come out much cleaner and smell better! Use the app as well. The only point to note: these machines are very sensitive in balancing the load. Large/normal size loads are not a problem. On small loads you will notice the basket/ machine will shake until it balances the load, just a few seconds. This in reading, is normal. Had it only a few weeks and happy about my choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This combo definitely makes my life easier as far as not having to remember to switch the load into the dryer. It is a very nice looking easy to use product. It is a little louder than I expected and makes a completely different sound than a normal washer or dryer, more of a vibration. The clothes seem to get clean but I can quite fit as big of a load as usual because it won't dry them all the way. It's hard to get used to the clothes feeling a little moist when you take them out but once you shake them they are dry! It is a nice size and fits my space well and the door isn't as low as most front load products, you don't have to bend down as far.

All 5 above topics preform as expected. However I would rate your lint filter and housing a 1 as 1 out of 5. Never had a filter that you had to use your vacuum to suck the lint off the filter. Its almost useless To try and use your fingers, you just cant start on one corner and lift and roll it up all at once. The aggravation having to use your vacuum is ridiculous. Also to much lint builds up around the front outside of filter and inside front of the vent housing in front of the drum. Please correct this issue so others don\u2019t have this aggravation. You ask for feedback so I just gave it to you. I sure hope someone reads this. If I knew this was an issue I would not purchase your product

Dryer is large capacity which I love. It does take about 8-10 loads of drying before it heats to capacity when brand new. After this many loads, the dryer does heat properly so don\u2019t be alarmed when you first use your dryer if it doesn\u2019t get hot enough. Cons: it doesn\u2019t have a light in the dryer so difficult to see as you are pulling out clothes. Also, the dryer vent screen is a newer design with two sides. Problem is the plastic square holes at the top hold lint even if it is not full. So as you pull multiple clothes out after a cycle, some may drag across the top plastic piece and now you have lint balls on your clothing. Fix these two problems and it will be a 5/5 dryer.

Like dozens of reviews online the product functions as advertised it’s a fantastic space, saver, energy, efficient, smart, etc. etc. the fatal flaw is the filter system, which is widely known at this point that it’s too small and lint goes around the filter into the fins where it shouldn’t get so we had to buy like everyone else seems to have had to buy separate cleaning devices and hose attachments and the real answer is it should be a filter that fits the correct size opening on the inside so that side, it’s great. You just have to do a lot more cleaning than you expect until they come out with a new filter size that maybe they can retroactively give to everyone. I’d love to have one.

I love it! I worried about the stuff I did not want dried mixed in with the other clothes but you just push the pause button and take it out! Super convenient to just put in and not change to the dryer. ! A couple negatives… I wish the sound for when it’s done washing wash louder and I never get a buzz when the drying is done . It’s important to get the stuff out when it stops or it’s all wrinkled. Cleaning that big rubber seal on the door is a pain and you can’t see into the deep lint chamber unless you have a flashlight to check for lint in the back . The lint trap itself is easy enough to clean .

I did a LOT of research and so far, after about a year, I love this machine and am bummed I waited so long to buy it. While some reviewers say it doesn't dry clothes, it does, it just takes longer. I usually add drying time. The clothes also come out feeling damp, but you just pull them out and after a minute they dry. The one thing I don't love is the lint buildup in the rubber area around the door. I have two dogs and cats and the amount of lint that comes out of this machine is AMAZING, I just wish they had considered the slots around the door that get filled with hair, etc.

Absolutely love the product. Not having to transfer loads between two machines is more convenient than I first imagined. Just put a load in, go to the grocery store and come home to finished laundry, Easy to use and does a great job of cleaning and drying everything. Only wished the door was reversable. We designed the bathroom around its installation and was not aware that the door can only open one way. The appliance store also thought the door would be reversable . . . So, getting stuff in and out of the machine is a tad bit awkward in its current location.

I love the size and efficiency of this washer/dryer combo. It makes doing laundry a much more enjoyable task since we could locate it in our bathroom. No more traipsing up and down stairs. I would give it a five star but it doesn’t always get things dry if the load is too big or has different thicknesses of materials. It isn’t enough of an issue to put me off buying it though. It has simplified our lives to do laundry on the floor of the house that most laundry is generated from.

Had it about 2 months now. There's a learning curve to go through. Still learning. I do 2 loads a week. I really like it. It's important to get the clothes out as soon as the machine stops because the clothes are still slightly damp. If you wait too long they will wrinkle. I love the app on my phone to let me know what cycle is in and when it will finish. Also, very helpful is the delayed start. Now I won't get home to a machine that ended an hour before :)

Our washer dryer combo works great. We are really enjoying it. We are a retired couple. I love putting a load of towels in and coming back and they are finished. I also like that it holds the detergent and softener and adds them automatically. These features are easy to shut on and off. Over all the machine is easy to use.I gave it four stars because of the vibration. When spinning it makes a lot of noise.

The washer dryer combo is easy to use and very convenient. We use less detergent and fabric softener. That is a plus! The lint filter is easy to clean but I have had to use a swifter to completely clean the filter area.\nIt is a little noisier when using and it vibrates when on. I think if I purchased the vibrations pads it may help. I believe it was a get price and we truly like the convenience.

I've had this appliance for the last 4 months and I love it. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the automatic dispense feature DOES NOT work, however, after a few loads it says the tanks are empty. Aside from that, I love everything else about this unit....It holds a large amount, it's energy efficient, it can be managed from the app, and it's quiet. Now I love doing laundry.

So far its awesome. Saves so much space width and depth wise, but is massively tall (for someone like me who is 5'4") with the pedestal, which is what i needed due to my disability. The delivery guys did put a dent in it upon delivery, as seen in the pic, but minor and the cabinet I'm having built will hide that. I'm really over all curios as to how long this machine will last.

Over time, this can be frustrating and may affect hygiene and the appearance of both the machine and laundry.\n\nGiven that this is an expensive model and GE benefits from substantial sales revenue, I believe the company should take responsibility for this oversight. Just be prepared for a bit of extra maintenance to manage lint in hard-to-reach areas — and I hope GE addresses this issue with a practical solution for customers soon.

Very pleased with the combo unit. Time for loads is close to what total would be with traditional washer/dryer. App is nice and easy to use. Would have given it a 5 but I notice clothes come out with more wrinkles but they do come out dry. I would recommend it and do not regret the change to this. Note-we don’t have kids so our laundry aren’t significant.

I love it other than it has a hard time on spin cycle completing if I have anything semi heavy in the unit. It gets out of balance very easy. It has always made quite a bit of noise also during spins. I never had anything like these problems before with standard washers. Its a love hate with this Combo Washer/Dryer.

It is pretty great. I like the app feature. Cleaning the lint catcher is a little bit of effort. Sometimes it doesn\u2019t fully dry, more than just shaking off the steam. I do like that I don\u2019t have to transfer. Loads do take longer, but the energy savings for solar is worth it. Over all I am satisfied.

Love the ease - put in laundry, set auto and machine automatically inserts correct amt of soap and softener and dries at end of wash cycle. Do not like that after laundry is done, lint insert is removed you need to clean the crevice where the lint filter fits. Hard to reach the back.

After figuring this out on my own, you will need a long flexible bottle brush to clean the lint filter. Wish i it was included in the box or at minimum communicated at purchase. Feature request: please add a light to see inside lint filter to clean.

Surprised, honestly is nice. Took a while to switch and we're happy. The enginerds can't figure out how to not leave 1 sock completely soaked, even on a dewrinkle dryer only cycle, on God, but coming home to a completed load is worth it.

We adore our washer dryer but it took us 2 years to learn how to use it \nand I'm not sure we got it figured out yet --\nbut we do we do enjoy it ..\nwe tell everybody about it..\n- I don't think I could ever live without one!!\n\nDRS

This is our second unit and it’s a perfect product for limited space for doing laundry! This model does still have issues with sensor monitoring dryness for hoodies and jeans. Running it another 20 on dry fixes the issue.
