We installed this in place of a propane stove in our living room, as heating our 3,000sf two story was costing us $500/mo. The HP22N was shipped to the store and we picked it up with our utility trailer. It is heavy! 300+lbs with shipping packaging, which was very sturdy. So it takes a sturdy hand truck and two people to move it in. Installed it ourselves, including vent piping. I put in 4" vent rather than 3" and used the 3-4inch adapter at the stove output.\r\n\r\nThe unit is well designed and solidly built. I'm glad we went with the 80lb hopper so we're not adding pellets every day. It has 5 manual heat settings and except on the coldest evenings (low 30's) we keep our house around 68-70 on the lowest, setting. We use the ECO mode and Temp settings at night, turning it down to 67 (It heats to temp and then shuts down for a while, then restarts itself, saving fuel). In the day when we're around we keep it on manual mode. Easy to clean every few days, and the large ash tray holds ash for 2-3 weeks before having to be emptied. On lowest setting I've found that when opening the door to pour in a new bag of pellets, it is best to hold the Feed-Door switch down so it'll keep feeding pellets and not let the fire die.\r\n\r\nIt heats our whole house, though the upstairs is a 3-4 degrees cooler than on the lower floor where the stove is.\r\n\r\nI like that I can also adjust both the room blower and the vent fan for each of the 5 levels. Adjusting the room blower down at the low heat settings makes it quieter in the room.\r\n\r\nOnly three smallish quibbles: 1) The paint can be abraded off the corners with excessive rubbing with a paper towel when cleaning. So care is needed when cleaning exterior. 2) The back cover plate hole is not perfectly centered for the exhaust port. So I had to loosen that temporarily to install the vent adapter. 3) The manual that came with the unit is not updated to the latest .pdf manual that is available online. Use the online manual.

I had been wanting to replace an ancient wood stove (with a steel door offering no visible fire) with a pellet stove. After a LOT of online and in-store research, I chose the ComfortBilt HP22N. I couldn't be happier. The HP22n is an attractive and efficient heat source for our 2-story open floorplan home of 2700 square feet in a mountain setting at 7,000 feet. I vented the stove vertically, using a 4" to 8" adapter to utilize the existing metal wood stove flue, and elected not to use a fresh air intake (unfortunately, adequate air sources in the home!). I have used the pellet stove to warm up the house in the mornings and evenings, as well as burning overnight on the coldest nights, using the manual option. I have used heat settings 1, 2 and occasionally 3, with plenty of heat produced for our needs. Propane consumption by our radiant heat system is DEFINITELY decreased, nice to see as propane prices climb. Start-up could not be easier...literally with a push of a button. In about 5 minutes the stove is burning and producing heat. Several operating options make this stove quite versatile. Pellet consumption is as advertised. My only complaints? The control panel is a bit lacking in visibility, as it has dark gray characters on a pale green background, offering less than desirable contrast. Also, I used Duravent PelletVent Pro for venting, and found it pretty pricey.

I have had my HP 22 N pellet stove now for three years this fall. Well use our stove for primary heating and no longer use our central heat.\nWell love this stove. \nWe burn about 4-5 pallets of pellets a winter. I clean the burn pot once a day and use my ash vacuum every other day. Cleaning only takes a couple minutes at most. I do a major cleaning once a year and that takes about an hour were I remove the fans and clean all internal exhaust passages. \nYou should have a spare parts kit.\nYou should have a extra igniter, a main power switch and a spare burn pot. If you have those you will only be down a few minutes for most of the common maintenance issues that will occured. What should be noted when your igniter wears out taking off the side panel (2 screws ) makes the replacement a five minute job at most. The main switch comes with an extra internal fuse but removal the main switch is a bit tight. The location of the main switch is probably the least thought out part of the stove. The main power switch may take about 30 minutes.\nWe set the thermostat and the stove provides good temperature control for about 1600 sqr ft area.\n\nMy wife tells me the stove was the best purchase I have ever made. We love the HP 22 N stove.

This is our first pellet stove, it replaced a woodburning stove that we have used for 35+ years to heat the majority of our 2500sq ft home. One of our friends got a small PelPro and after listening to their success in reducing pricey propane usage and knowing that our days with wood heat were limited, we chose the ComfortBilt as it had substantially better product reviews than the PelPros. The stove was delivered in a timely manner and setup was actually quite easy. We have been running it off and on since late September, the convenience of warming up the space and then shutting it off is phenomenal. When we have had colder temps it has been powerful enough to heat the main areas of our house. We are learning the pellet stove way, and are vacuuming out the burn pit and under the burn pit daily. The ash drawer has never gotten even 1/4 full cleaning it out every few days. The electronics and mechanisms of this stove work perfectly. We are quite pleased with this purchase and the quality of the stove.

Great Pellet Stove! 1st time ever Installing and owning one. This was a corner Install using only 5 Duravent Fittings ($300 Kit) then buy the 500 Degree Sealant for each fitting. I also got the 2000 degree sealant for the 1st Pipe Adapter to Stove. The next day I was shocked to be in a 75 Degree House and Loving the Fire in the Bay Window!!! where before the Pellet Stove it would barely get to 70 degrees with my Heat Pump and Electric Bill SKY ROCKETING! Pellet Stoves are the best thing since Toast Bread!! Yes you have to feed it and clean the ash every day but surely beats the GRID FRAUD!!!! And you are warmer. NOTE: Pic don't show justice. The TV is Behind the Stove hanging 6 inches above and doesn't get warm at all so no need to worry about a fire and the Speaker next to it is temporary. I'm sure there are Many Great Stoves out there. Very Happy with this one.

First time using our HP22-N the blower did not turn on. After reading over the troubleshooting guides and trying to tweak the settings, nothing seemed to work. I ended up removing the back panel and noticed one of the quick disconnects (white) had come off the blower motor. This does not seem like something that would disconnect during shipment so I suspect it left the factory that way. Was easy to put back on and functioned properly thereafter. This stove works great in our 2000sq ft basement and is very quiet. The hopper DOES hold two full bags of pellets (80lbs) BUT requires you to fully spread and pack them down. Aside from the initial QC issue, we are very happy with the purchase.

While only trying out our new HP22-N during our 1st cold snap, it proved to be everything I had hoped for. Having owned a pellet stove previously, I did research for over a year on the possible purchase of a new stove. I read many reviews, watched a lot of You Tube videos and even talked on the phone with a gentleman from Comfort Bilt. My biggest concern was the noise level, but after the test run, the HP22-N is not noisy! I've got a stock of pellets, waiting for cold weather. Winter will be the test, but I have a feeling our HP22N will prove to be what we have wanted in a pellet stove! Thank You - Comfort Bilt!

I just started using my new stove last month, easy to set up and works great. So far we are using the lowest setting and it seems to keep the house comfortable. If I turn the stove up, it only takes a little while to feel the difference. I only have one complaint so far, hopper opening where you add pellets is way too small. I dump pellets everywhere. You have to go slow and watch what you are doing. There is plenty of room for a larger door to make it easier. Remember you are dumping from a 40 pound bag. Still is a great stove overall.

I have been using this stove for about 3 months. I can set it on 65 and it ran about 70 inside with 40 degree weather outside. At high 20's I can run it at 68 for 70 inside. No colder weather yet, but I like the quiet stove. I used some powder graphite on about 2 or 3 cups of powder on the pellets for the first couple of low pellet levels. That stopped an occasional squeak in the auger. Only noises are the fan and the pellets hitting the burn pot. I have used about 20 bags as of now.

it is a quality product. I gave it a 4 because at this time comfort bilt does not have a remote thermostat to go with it as of yet. It will continue to run in the Temp setting which is a bit annoying, but In the thermostat setting it will shut off when you reach the temperature you set for it. The company did send info on an aftermarket unit to operate the stove but it needs to be taught

We installed ourselves. Order installation kit . It was so easy to install. Make sure you order as we have found that they do not carry them in the store. We wound up driving 65 miles and to a competitor to get one as we wanted to get it in. Over all this is a great stove. Also called the stove tech support. Found them friendly and very helpful. This is our first pellet stove. Made me feel better to find the tech had same stove in his home. So would recommend. We love it.

We live in The Jemez Mountains in New Mexico. We have a 3 story home. We installed The Comfort Bilt pellet stove on the second floor, we run it on 1 most of the time and maintain 70 degrees. With an 80 lbs hopper the stove runs 2 days. The ash drawer is large so I use an ash vacuum once a month to clean. I love this pellet stove!!! I am going to install a second one for the bottom floor which has a pellet stove, this is an amazing pellet stove I highly recommend.

It's a very well built piece of equipment, that not only exceeded my expectations but also looks nice. We purchased our pellet stove 7 months ago...after 25+ yrs using a woodstove this one of the best things we did for home improvement. No more cutting/stacking firewood!! The stove puts out a lot of heat. We usually keep it on low and the main floor of the house stays around 70° (the stove is in the basement). When I got it I hooked it up in the garage to burn the newness off of it and the blower that circulates the air wasn't working. Comfortbilt's customer service was awesome! They sent me a new blower motor the same day. Very easy to install. Works great.

I’ve had my Comfortbilt HP22N stove for a few months (Western Mass) and overall it’s just ok. The primary reason for buying this model was the extended capacity for pellets which is listed as 80lbs but that’s really not accurate. In actual and practical terms it’s more between 65 and maybe 70lbs which is annoying because the bags I buy are 40lbs each. The unit puts out good heat but it’s very finicky. I am constantly getting one alarm/error after another. I can clear the errors easily but getting the stove to get back to normal usually requires turning it completely off (or unplugging) before it “resets”. The ash pan is also pretty shallow and the way the stove is designed, the ashes build up on the two sides of the ash pan requiring disposing of them very frequently, before the ash pan is really even remotely full. Some positives are the thermostat feature and the very quick ignition. I’d think twice before buying this unit again

Running this heater in a drafty 3000sqft 1841circa farmhouse. This 50kbtu stove can keep the entire two story home comfortable until oat is in the teens when extra heat is required from a 125kbtu forced air oil furnace. It replaced an 85kbtu coal stove which could heat home in colder weather but pellets are so much cleaner to use. No more black dust in the home and less ash.

Has kept us very warm over the cold months. Start up is very easy, very easy to clean and keep clean. The fan blower is relatively quiet and helps heat our 3200 sq ft house. The company has also been great to work with if we needed any parts or questions answered. All in all I would recommend buying from Wayfair and from Comfortbilt without hesitation.

I used stone tile from Wayfair to create a hearth. The stove is so awesome! It heats our whole house in an hour on high. It's hard to find the right vent kits, I had to order them online. You want type L, steel. If you put it in a corner like this, will need a 45° angle piece in type L. It's clean running.
