If you redeem the gift card for an AMC gift card, you cannot use it for online purchases. The AMC app tells you to go to the physical theater to use it

Do not participate in this misleading promo. This is not simply a gift card promo instead it’s a purchase to go to another website to redeem a gift card and the website doesn’t work. Beware. Not worth it and very misleading. Disappointed in Target for promoting.
