The mouse is a simple, sturdy mid-sized no-nonsense 3-button (counting the scroll wheel as a button) implement. The keyboard is full sized with some media and other feature keys that all seem to work without loading additional software on my Win 11 computer. Here are a few hints:\n1. There is a plastic protective coating to peel off - Start peeling from lower right side it took me a few minutes to figure this out.\n2. Some of the keys are programmable. To use this feature, you must download software that can be located from the Logitech Support page for this product. I haven't tried it yet but simply note that it exists.\n3. That support page, when printed, printed perfectly - no page breaks at bad places and all diagrams intact. They provide descriptions for the effect of all keys. Kudos to Logitech for ensuring printability since this information does not seem to be offered for download. Use your printing software to produce a PDF document and you'll have a handy cheat sheet.\n\nI would prefer a mouse that is slightly smaller but this one is reasonably comfortable and appears to be well constructed. It shares a single USB receiver with the keyboard which might be important if you are short on ports. The keyboard action is nice - it's keys feel firm and just a touch spring and makes just a little noise when depressed. So there is a bit of both tactile and acoustic feedback but not an annoying amount. The only minus, a small one for me, is the lack of key backlighting.\n\nMy prior keyboard was a much more expensive Logitech G G213 Prodigy RGB Backlit Gaming Keyboard. The problem was that I wanted a keyboard and mouse to be usable on two different computers at the flip of a switch - a KVM-like device that switched USB but not video devices. Since the USB spec is not friendly to switching such devices that are bus powered, I needed a new keyboard and, by luck, selected the one I'm now reviewing. I am satisfied with the MK540 bundle and pleasantly surprised at the apparent quality of the product.
