Overall this a good OS. The start menu is back from it's hiatus in Windows 8 and the layout of the GUI is attractive enough. I am very impressed with how fast it runs. I am running it on a Core 2 duo E8400 system with 8 gb ram and the everyday tasks are snappy and virtually instant. \r\n\r\nOf course there is a negative side to this product and that is the forced updates. Unlike Windows 7 and 8 you can no longer choose whether to install updates, they are mandatory. Even worse is Windows now also forces driver updates. So if you're using a custom graphics driver for example, Windows may suddenly decide you need one of it's verified drivers instead. Of course you can simply reinstall your old driver afterward but I must say that is a bit of a pain..\r\n\r\nOverall though this a good product, it could be great if a bit more control were offered to the end user, and such as it is I give it four out of five stars.

I just finished building my gaming pc and installing windows 10,I like the usb installation vs download or cd install,especially if I don’t have a 2nd windows 10 pc to download windows creation media to download windows 10,it took some tweaking of the bio’s to download and install windows on just an m2 ssd hard drive,but it works beautifully,I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because in my opinion windows 10 is extremely expensive for what you get, but it is what it is

I've never installed an operating system before. It came on a usb stick. It wasn't hard to install but I did look up some things while I was installing it. I didn't know what drive 1 and 0 were. I also didn't understand what partioning was. After looking that up I just followed the on-screen steps. It was more expensive then I thought it would be. I was tempted to buy a key online but kept reading how most of those keys are scams.

WIndows 10 is the best Operating System around. This Windows 10 Home version, is good for x32 & x64 bit computer systems. On new systems it's great, and for a good many older systems it runs OK to good. The oldest system that I have Win10 installed on is a Lenovo Edge 15 laptop with an AMD CPU and 8GB of memory installed. \nThis Windows 10 Home comes on a USB Drive and installed without a hitch on a new system build. After installation, keep going to windows update, until you get all the updates to include version 1909, which is the latest version.\nI've had Windows installed on all my systems since the beginning and it just got better over time. If you like Windows 7, you should like 10.\nAnyway, I recommend Windows 10 Home to everyone. There's nothing else like it.

Hi all. Bought this for a New PC I am currently building. This version is on one of my current PCs. I give it 4 Stars as it seems to be stable. I just Wish Microsoft would stop sending me ads for Office 365. And my Major complaint is, A lot of the older Programs (MS Money) and Games (MechWarrior Series) don't work.

Pros: I like hard copies of my software and the USB Flash Drive seems to me to be aneven better medium. I had a problem with a cracked disk once that Microsoft replaced but that was a pain. Overall Review: This is a review on Newegg, a company I can always count on. I've done about a half dozen comp. builds and I used to buy those OEM cheap OS's untill someone sold me a pirated copy. The guy sent me four more activation codes before one worked and the item was supposed to be nwe, unopened but a year and a half later Microsoft started telling me that I had pirated software! I have since been buying from Newegg and have had no such problems. Thanks Newegg! Willy

Not a huge Win 10 fan but, a LOT of my glitches once downloaded were due to BIOS errors, which I just resolved with downloads from ASUS (motherboard), MSN for the installation 'tool'.

It's an OEM copy of Windows 10 - no end user support. As long as you understand that, it will provide a copy of Windows 10 for a machine that isn't eligible for the free upgrade.

Replaced hard drive- installed windows 10-\nBe sure to pull out flash drive when laptop commences restart after download- otherwise computer will try to reinstall software-

I replaced the disk drive on a Windows Vista laptop with a new disk drive. Just unscrew it from\nthe bottom and it will just pop out. Purchase a similar or larger size disk drive and pop it back\ninto the connector. Put back the screws and you're ready to load the Windows 10 disk.\nJust follow the instructions on loading the program disk and before you know it, you have \nalmost a brand new computer. Not too hard to do. Save yourself the price of buying a new\nlaptop.

Easy install, but the computer I use is 20 years old, but they still work with this window 10 the only issue I had a problem with since the Microsoft change to activated, but I got it to activate it so it to make it legal. it ran fine, but the PC is little slow, but that's OK. At least my neighbor can have it a laptop yes I recommend it with no tan. Does work on your computers as long as you meet certain guideline on a memory.

Pros: This was my first install from a flash drive and it was as simple as using a CD or DVD. I just turned off my PC, inserted the flash drive and turned my PC back on. Its that simple. Since it is the retail version you can choose between the 34 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 10. Cons: None. Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone needing to install Windows 10. Great product.

I purchased this product to use on a fresh install of Windows to be used on an IMac. My prior version install disks simply wouldn't work and kept giving me errors of one sort or another. This gave me a fresh install to use and worked like a charm. I have not used this version, so there are some learning curves, but overall very happy with the product thus far.

Pros: Stable. Plenty of Software available for use with W10. Works well on old hardware if necessary. Overall Review: I installed this and activated it. Then, the next day I switched hardware and reinstalled this same Windows 10 on another PC. It was a real pain, but I was able to get it to reactivate. Good deal.

on a ten year old desk top with vista. It was a good laptop for its time cause it does have system requirements. Shut down computer and turn back on and push esc to get to boot menu put in usb and install from there just follow instructions in computer. May install from regular windows if later version.

Received Windows 10 and it was a genuine windows with activation key.\nHad to try to load it on a fresh computer a couple of times because I'd not changed a setting in the B550-F Asus motherboard. Changed BOOT Configuration from "Windows EUFI" to "OTHER" and everything loaded as it should.

backup your personal files. All programs will have to be re-installed from either your CD or re-download them. A clean install is the only way to use this version of Windows... it does save your old windows (if your installing over an older version) in the Windows.old folder

this operating system is better than windows 8 It puts you into the original screen as the operating systems before windows 8 came out when you start up your computer. I got so I can upgrade from windows 8 since it works a lot better and it is a big improvement

Overall Review: It's a must buy to any new computer build or upgrade. Make sure to get the RETAIL version and NOT the OEM version. Retail version, you can move to a new computer, where as the OEM version is tied to the motherboard.

If can't do one without the other, just back-up your data/doc files and reload on new install. Best to load from DVD at system start-up on a scrubbed machine, but not necessary to scrub it.
