Three times over now, my household(s) have bought this exact Shark Rotator NV501 vacuum. Not because they've failed and it needed to be replaced, but because they've made impression on those that lived there.\n\nA past relationship of mine, this was the vacuum we bought and were blown away. My mom ended up liking ours so much, she ended up buying the same one. Now in a better place and time, my new household decided to get the same vacuum because it performs THAT well. It picks up every last bit of pet dander, kitty litter, and whatever else is thrown at it. The attachments make it incredibly easy to vacuum cat towers or furniture. It's suction is second to none. With all three, none ever gave any of us an issue other than a hose wearing over time due to stretching which can easily be replaced. I appreciate that it has a fairly low profile to get far enough under the bed. It doesn't create any hand-fatigue while using it, meaning it's not overly heavy or awkward to maneuver. It's got little headlights on it so when using it on hard surfaces you can see areas of litter or fur. The top of the unit lifts away as well. I've taken it up a ladder to vacuum ledges around the house. The Rotator does it all and does it amazingly well.\n\nIf ever I had to, I'd buy a fourth one, but I have a feeling I won't have to anytime soon. Shark makes top-notch, quality vacuums. It almost makes vacuuming therapeutic to see all it picks up. You don't realize how poor of a vacuum you might own until you try something like this. Being one of their most popular and highest rated models, you can't go wrong with the Shark Rotator.

Upright Best Vacuum I've Owned! This Shark Professional Vacuum is the Best vacuum ive owned. I did house cleaning as my profession for 20 yrs so Ive used so many different brands. I had purchased my Shark Professional Lift Away and its absolutely amazing. I love how theres so many options on how to use it, It works great on carpets %26 bare floors, it has plenty of attachments to use for different areas of spaces, and my favorite is the lift away option. I can push the button to lift it away and carry it to maneuver around areas wether its reaching to the ceiling or doing corners etc. The suction is incredible and definitely gives the carpets a deep clean. The cord is long, and the beater floor part turns so its very easy to clean under tables, couches %26 hard to reach areas. It has a great filter system. I suffer from pet %26 seasonal allergies %26 this vac has helped me so much with cleankng the pet fur/dander up off my floors. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone %26 I have found SHARK to be my favorite goto Brand for many things I own!!! Definitely a Happy customer.

I've always been more than satisfied with my Shark vacuum so when I needed to replace it after 7 years, I only wanted another Shark. I chose the Rotator upright. This thing does it all! From different floor types, suction control for area rugs, removable wand for reaching and canister lift for small space cleaning. The suction of this vacuum is amazing. However in my opinion, there are 2 things that keep this Shark from being perfect. ONE, the roller brush wraps with hair quite quickly and I clear it frequently. I'm not one to wait for the red indicator light to come on before I clean them. TWO, it seems very heavy and difficult to push especially when vacuuming carpet. I did discover that if I put more space between me and the vacuum it is much easier to push. All in all, I love the versatility of this shark and would buy it again.

I absolutely love this vacuum. This is my second Shark Professional that I have purchased. I purchased my first Shark Professional in 2005. During the 21 years this fabulous vac covered every corner of my house, carpets, rugs, tile, hardwood floors and upholstery. It also went outside to clean our vehicles like new, as well as the motorhome. And I have 4 dogs, so dog hair causes me to vacuum continually, EVERYWHERE. \nLightweight compared to others, and easy to pick up and carry by the handle located on the canister. Easy to clean and or change the filters Very handy accessories. Strong suction and easy to maneuver. My first one still runs great, but I live in a hot climate and the plastic housing on my first Shark started to crack, perhaps from the heat and just age. So, it was time for a new one. \nI also have a Shark cordless sweeper handy for quick clean ups.

I don’t ever right reviews because I figure other people can write better, but I had to for this vacuum. I’ve been searching high and low for a great suction vacuum. At least one that wasn’t costing me an arm and a leg. I’ve own another shark vacuum, that is cordless but the battery life isn’t great. I bought this vacuum to work on the areas in which my dogs are roaming the most and holy cow. The first time I used it I sucked up so much dog hair that it was unbelievable and disgusting at the same time. It also picked up the dirt and dander from the dogs. The suction on this vacuum is awesome and the amount of dander and dirt it picks up is amazing. My son and I have bad allergies and I can tell the difference after I vacuum with this new toy! I love a heavy duty vacuum to really get the carpet clean, but my old was outdated and crusty. I have mostly hard floors in my new house and a friend gave me a shark stick vacuum which is great for convenience but doesn’t clean up well and dies after 2 minutes. So with this vacuum I can have the heavy duty AND lifts away to a stick-like vacuum to get those smaller spaces and my hard floors AND it lifts away to do cobwebs in ceiling or to vacuum my couch. Literally the best vacuum shark has made, fits every need of mine. After the first minute of cleaning a rug that I thought was clean, my new vacuum got so much dirt, hair, and dust like you would think I never vacuum. Crazy how much of a difference having a good vacuum like this one can do!

I bought a Shark Rotator just like it about 12 years ago and loved it! Best vacuum I ever owned! I see Shark made a few changes over the years, though: this brand new one has a shorter cord so it doesn't teach as far. The old cord was more flexible. The old vacuum came with more attachments and I think the vacuum hose on the old vac was a little longer as well. Since it's the same model number, the extra filters I had bought for the old, will fit the new vacuum, so no money wasted there! I'm thrilled Shark is still manufacturing this model. I was happy with the old and now the new. Although I wish they were putting a longer and more flexible cord on the new ones just like they did the old ones. I would still recommend this model.

Much better than my Dyson Animal. The Dyson brush bar would stop spinning after two minutes. Although it is true that it did not lose suction, it would clog - ALOT. Trying to unclog a Dyson is like doing surgery. I finally purchased the Shark Rotator with "Powerfins". The bush bar never stops turning and when the vacuum does clog, it is much easier to unclog than the Dyson. Also, nothing gets caught up in the brush bar. I have never removed the Shark's brush bar to detangle hair or anything else. With the Dyson, I was always having to remove the brush bar to clean and detangle it. The Shark has a much better design in my opinion and is also better engineered. Good going Shark!

I confess. I am a Shark lover. I have 3 dogs, a cat and a ‘Doug'. We live on a small farm in Wyoming. I'm also a bit of a neat nick. Needless to say, I go through vacuums. \n\nI inherited my Mother's professional Shark - which she probably had for at least 5 years. It's definitely a step up from the less expensive Sharks I have been using. \n\nWhen I received a request for a vacuum for someone in need, I decided I'd give my newer Shark to them and move Mom's vacuum downstairs to replace it and buy another one just like it. I'm so happy I did! The new one is so powerful and robust!\n\nYup. In a few years when I'm ready to juggle vacuums around again, Shark it shall be!!

Amazing! Only draw back and reason for not giving 5 stars is the canister is sooo small and fills up super quick. You have to empty it after only a couple\nPasses in a room especially if you have a lot of dog or pet hair. This thing is one of the absolute BEST on pet hair and dirt, though! Carpets look and feel so clean after and it gets all the hair without a struggle! Canister empties easy. The detachable unit to be able to do stairs or other areas w/o lugging the whole unit is perfection! \nGreat vacuum! BUY IT! Worth every penny!

I’m so glad I purchased this product. I used to have a old shark virgin the white colour with the handle. I use it for five years and then it broke so then I went for something else, but it only lasts me for about a year so I purchased this brand of shark professional three ways have been used for almost a year still like a new one. The fact it’s taking all the dust. Even on the hard surface or carpet doesn’t leave anything behind. If you are a pet lover. Or you have small children you definitely have to go for this brand. I know we are looking for something cheap but sometimes you can get for very good price.

This vacuum really stands up to the test with pet hair, It has great suction and works well with all the attachments. Once you get the hang of how all the parts "lift away" it transitions quickly from under furniture to high above and it works great on stairs, carpet and hard wood. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that the on/off button is a bit hard to push for older not so strong hands and I would have liked to have a soft brush attachment for the wand. It is a very good product I have used it for about 3 months.

This is a great vacuum. Very powerful suction. I ran it over carpet I had already cleaned and was amazed at how much more dirt and hair it pulled up. Great for pet owners like me. The swivel mechanism makes it very mobile. The lift away feature is very easy to use and makes cleaning stairs and furniture a breeze. Nice assortment of attachments. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the small size of the cleaning head. Takes a bit more time to clean larger rooms with such a small head.

Amazing vacuum. I can not believe the difference on how well the roller paddle works versus a roller brush! This vacuum does an outstanding job at picking up dog hair! My boy sheds twice a year and it is always a battle to vacuum it up. This vacuum just sucks it up with no problems. I also love the fact no brush to cut strings or my long curly hair out of. The odor cartridge is a big plus too.The only negative I can say is the cord does not stay in the clip on the handle so you have to hold it in place . I would hate to run over it.

I love this vacuum cleaner!!! It is so easy to take the Lift Away part off and do steps and hard to reach areas. The suction of this vacuum is amazing!!! I had just vacuumed with my old one and then with this Shark when I got it. OMG!! The canister was full of dog hair and dirt. The only concern was that my HEPA filter cover was broken when I received the vacuum in the mail. I sent it back and am going to buy another one just like it!!!

I've had this vac for 3 years now and every time I use it I am reminded how wonderful the HairPro is. I haven't had to clean the brush since I bought the machine. I had to cut the hair off my old vac after every use. I have very, long thinning hair. So why not 5*? I'm not thrilled with the handle release. Has different levels for hard floors and thin or thick carpets. I have dogs, cats, and kids so the HEPA filter system has been a game changer for us. The suction is great and compared to my last vacuum it picks up everything my last one missed in my carpets. Highly recommend and completely matches the price! The only flaw I have noticed is the cord could be a touch longer but I just added an extension cord which does the trick.

I have a mast cell disease requiring a clean home. This is the best vacuum I’ve ever had. I’ve used it hundreds of hours since I bought it in 2017. (It’s almost 2024.) I clean the filters and empty the canister with each use. When I had a dog in the house, I regularly washed out the hoses and wands with ease. The hose is now cracked at the top bend of the handle from age, but it still has superior suction. My only complaint is that the extension wand is locked onto the handle and won’t come off.

This is the best shark thats why i hunted down another because it has a lit wand but the rotator brush makes alot of noise which mynidentical 1st one which is still running...but i believe a homemaker should always have a 2nd vacuum. i did have a backup but someone took it....I hope the noise goes away and this model lasts as long as my identical 1st one.

Its light enough to carry between floors and can get into every crevice with all of the tools. Love this vacuum. Super easy assembly. Great value. Significant improvement over my Dyson DC50 which it replaced. Not great at getting under things like the bed but the attachments and the long extension hose help albeit somewhat more difficult. The powerfins do great with my golden retriever's pet hair. The closed system and odor neutralizer eliminate musky smells.
