I gifted an old phone to my nephew because he broke the phone his parents got for him. I also ordered an OtterBox Defender Series case for him because a) he tends to be pretty rough on his phones, and b) figuring it would take some extra abuse since he works an outside job during the summer. I was so pleased with the quality and appearance of this case after receiving it in the mail. This is one of the most solid cases I've ever seen. It wraps the entire phone protecting every square inch as well as having a built in screen protector. As an added bonus, there is a very sturdy clip on the backside so he can clip it to his side while working outside. I was and am beyond pleased with my purchase. Needless to say, my nephew loved the phone and the case! He has been using the case for about a month now and knowing him, all I can say is so far so good.. but I'm fairly sure this phone case will stand the test of time. I am so happy with it that I'm looking at cases for my husband for Father's Day and I've got my eye on one for myself of course!🙂

The case fits snug on my iPhone just like the Otterbox that I had bought for my 12.9 iPad a couple years ago did and still does. Holding my phone with it on there is much nicer now with the grip and thickness. \r\n\r\nOver the last two years my iPad has been dropped several times and has never been damaged, and I’m sure this Otterbox will provide the same protection for my phone. \r\n\r\nThe feature I like best on both Otterboxes is that you can flip the clip/stand piece around and it totally covers and protects your screen. Also the built in clear touch screen protector works perfect and with the one on my iPad being over two years old I’m amazed that there’s still no blemishes/marks on it. It works and looks like the day I bought it, actually the whole Otterbox looks good still. \r\n \r\nThe screen protector, and the drop protection that it has offered for my iPad over the years is why I purchased this Defender case for my phone.

After using my new OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7 for a week, I've had an overall great experience. After going from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 7, I am very impressed with how OtterBox has improved the quality of all their components, starting with the screen protector. The iPhone 7 Defender built-in screen protector now includes a thin film that goes over the thumb print scanner! It does not interfere with unlocking your phone AT ALL. It is my favorite new feature of the Defender series. \r\nThe only thing I do not like about the new slip cover, is the cover for the charging port. As seen in the picture, instead of bending towards the back of the phone, it bends upwards creating the slip cover to come unattached from the shell (as seen in the picture). This allows dust and crud inside to get in between the shell/slip cover. Again, I've only had the case since September 16th (when I got the iPhone 7). Overall, I would recommend the OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7. It provides great protection while still in a relatively thing design.

I have only ever purchased Otter Box products to protect my phones for years and years, especially with kids and clumsiness (aka frequent drops), the need for a rubbery case, and overall brand reliability. Sooooo recently I left my phone on the hood of a car and forgot about it (it happens), and it ended up getting run over in the middle of our residential street. THE PHONE WAS FINE. I had the tempered glass protector on the screen and that was all cracked but the phone screen was completely protected and fine. Not a scratch. The case saw a crack here or there and there were legit tire marks on the back(!). I replaced both anyway, but man was I relieved and thrilled with the protection this case had against getting run over by a literal vehicle.

It’s a great case! I love the color, a brighter blue than I’d expected, but lovely. You can just tell it’s good quality when you fit it on the phone. It’s snug and perfect and while I never feel completely safe with throwing my phone on my bed when I get home, this is about as close as I’ll come to that. The defender is fantastic protection. Well, I’ve only had this one for a week now, but I’m expecting it to stand up to my expectations. Had my other defender (on the SE) for 4 years before the rubber flap over the headphone port came off, and even then the phone was still safe (not a scratch, and I work on a farm and have done all kinds of crazy things with it untouched). Here’s to the same great lifespan with this one!

I have been using Otterbox Defender Series cases throughout the many years that I have owned many Apple iPhones and iPads and each one has always provided outstanding protection. I have dropped each countless times and the cases always have done an outstanding job of protecting the phones and tablets without damage to either. And Otterbox's warranty service has been terrific in the replacement of anything that ever needs replacing should the need arise. Although seemingly expensive, you get what you pay for and the quality of an Otterbox product never disappointed. Well worth the money for the level of protection provided.

I've had this case for the better part of 6 years, taking it from my previous iPhone to my current one. Of course, 6 years takes it toll, with accidental drops, fidgeting, and getting thrown by my little brother.\r\nLast year, I was involved in a major train derailment in Missouri. I got two busted knees, but that phone case took being launched and stepped on, and barely blinked! There's one crack in the plastic, but my phone survived with only a scratched screen.\r\nOtterBox, whatever you're doing, keep doing it! Just moved on to a new case (second one in 12 years), and I know it'll last me ages

This Defender case comes with the screen protector. The case is outstanding! My iPad is completely protected. The screen is responsive and the screen protector is easy to clean. Does it add some size and weight to the iPad. Yes, but for the protection it affords, the difference is minimal. Do yourself a favor and protect your iPad. These “toys” are not cheap and while the trade-off is their portability, that comes with the price of being fragile. The Defender Case does the job! Well done. My only suggestion is different color choices. My wife says it too manly and not girly enough.

I've always used Otter box for my iPhone's. I like the protection. I don't mind the additional bulk it gives the overall profile of the phone. You get used to it and don't notice it. It's worth the protection. The plastic frame of the case (the part under the silicon) can be a little challenging to take off at times. But, nothing that can't be handled. I don't like that the newer cases don't come with screen protection. The older cases (like for an iPhone 7 Plus) came with a plastic cover for the phone. Now, you have to get a separate screen protector in addition to the Otterbox. For example, my Otterbox defender foe my iPhone 12 Pro. I have a separate screen protector film in addition to the Otterbox case. Other that the screen protector m, the cases are perfect.

Love my new Defender series otter box for my SE 3rd generation. I had one for over 7 years, really protected my phone. My first defender series was in 2015, my phone was on the bumper of my F150 and was run over a couple of times while my husband was backing our boat in. The only thing on that phone that was damaged was the screen, the shell of the phone was still intact, the otter box was scuffed and scratched, got a new Pink one (Real Tree). I tried to find a PINK defender for my upgraded phone, none available, so I got blue! Miss the PINK though.

This is my fourth or fifth OtterBox Defender phone cover, over the years. They are so practical, so protective, and so attractive. They are flawlessly designed. I don't worry if I accidentally drop my phone - this case really is a defender. \n\nThey're not priced for the ‘dollar store' but they are well worth the money. I used to always buy black but I've branched out and the current lilac and black case is just plain pretty.\n\nNo complaints, only praise.

Exactly what I wanted. The iPad is too thin and difficult to pickup - it is slick. i was concerned that I would drop it. The case adds the right amount of texture and grip to easily grab it without dropping. It is also still thin enough to sit nicely on the stand I had purchased earlier. I do not use the turtle shell with stand yet but can see using it on trips.

Ever since I have owned a phone, I have always had an OtterBox cover. And thank God that I have had one because I have dropped my phone, From great Heights, down the steps and actually left it on the roof of my car, drove away and it blew off. When I came back to get the phone, it was in perfect condition. I will never not have an OtterBox on my phone.

This is the 3rd Otter Box Defender I've owned.\nMy phone goes everywhere I go, and that meant going to work everyday and also being a scuba diver that means world travel to dive sites.\nThanks to the Otter Box case my phone survives everything it goes through with me and that includes is being dropped.

I have had otter boxes for my last two phone and loved them. The design was great for protecting my phone and easy access to the charging port. \r\nThis iPhone 12 plus case has fewer colors to choose from and the biggest issue is the port to charge the phone. All the other ones had the flap to charge open from the front to the back. The new one opens from the back to the front. I can see the charging access flap wearing down fast and break off.

The Defender case is solid. I've used the Defender for years on several phones and I've never experiences any damage to any of those phones. The seals to the openings are tight and the screen cover provides clarity for the screen and full touch screen functionality.

I once inadvertently tested how well OtterBox works. I've got one of my iPhones on the trunk of my car was going about 50 miles an hour when I realized what I had done just in time to see it fly off. The phone survived and I went bought another otter box.

Excellent product!! Probably the 4th or 5th one I've owned does not add too much bulk to the phone and gives great protection to the phone. Over the years I have dropped the phone numerous times and cracked a screen or damaged anything not even the case.

Pretty and durable. When it comes to protecting the one thing that keeps up with you and contains all your information, why would you get cheap on that? Get something that will actually protect your phone from drops bops and thuds. Get an otter box.

The case fit very well. The side buttons were a little stiff like I read but not a deal breaker at all for me. The screen registered touch without issue with the screen protector from the case and an additional screen glass that I put on it.

This is my second Otterbox but for the life of me I could not open this new one. Next up was my strong daughter in law who also has an Otterbox Defender. She could not open it. Finally my athlete son was able to peel it apart using a flathead scewdriver and insert my phone. The case itself is perfect, five stars, but the process was zero stars. Not sure if it was this particular case or what.

I wasn't aware that it comes with a holster and a screen cover. The kit is difficult to take apart & searching for the proper video instructions for iPhone 8 was tricky. I needed to remove the cover twice after installation, which was only possible if you yank at the bottom tab which covers the recharge inlet. The cover is sturdy- I only trust Otter for phone protection.
